Inspector on site ensuring that drainage pipes have been installed correctly.

Drainage and plumbing is not only what you see above the ground. All water, waste disposal, soils and stormwater have to be drained away and treated to maintain safety and health. In most instances these pipes cannot be seen as they are buried underground. They have to be installed according to strict regulations by a qualified plumber, using the correct pipework.

Plumber Joe wishes to remind you that today is International Water Day and we must do all that we can to save this precious resource. Here are a couple of handy tips:

Regularly check your kitchen pipes and the dishwasher hose for slow leaks.

Find out where your household stop valve is and make sure that you can turn it on and off. You'll thank us if you ever have a burst pipe, because you'll be able to cut off the flow before it floods the house.
