🎉 Celebrating Success at Impala Refineries!

A successful project deserves to be celebrated! 👏

After the completion of our work at Impala Refineries, we brought the team together for a well-earned celebratory braai. It was a great opportunity to recognise the dedication, hard work, and teamwork that made this project a success.

To mark the occasion, each team member received a certificate of appreciation and a company T-shirt as a token of thanks for their outstanding contribution.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and grateful to every individual who played a part in delivering another successful project. Here’s to teamwork, commitment, and many more milestones ahead! Keep an eye out for content of the completed project.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟲 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 💪🌉

When devastating floods washed away the existing bridge, access to this Holiday Resort was severely impacted, leaving the area isolated and difficult to reach.

Rather than standing still, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

This new bridge is still a work in progress, but the progress achieved in just six days speaks for itself. Through hands-on leadership, determination, creativity, and hard work, we are actively creating a safe and reliable access route to reconnect an area that was cut off by nature’s force.

Projects like these require more than plans on paper – they require action, problem-solving, and a team willing to get their hands dirty to make things happen.

We are proud of what has been accomplished so far and excited to share this milestone as construction continues. Every beam, every load of material, and every hour invested brings us one step closer to restoring full access.

This is what commitment looks like. This is what being hands-on looks like. And this is only the beginning. Keep an eye out for some videos!

🚧 Impala Springs IPR Rehabilitation Project in Progress 🌱

Our team is currently undertaking a large-scale environmental rehabilitation project focused on restoring and stabilising the Impala Springs site.

The works shown in these photos include:
• Removal and relocation of contaminated material for safe treatment and future approved reuse
• Demolition and removal of old concrete structures and foundations
• Excavation and complete removal of remaining tailings material
• Shaping and profiling of the land to ensure proper drainage and prevent erosion
• Application of dolomitic lime to neutralise acidity and improve soil stability
• Placement of a final red soil layer to prepare the area for long-term rehabilitation and future land use

📍 Kareerand Project Progress Update

We’re making great progress on our new incoming tank civil works at Kareerand and are currently 90% complete.

So far, the team has completed:

🔹 Large-scale excavation of the area to prepare the foundation
🔹 Filling and compacting the ground with dumprock to create a strong working platform
🔹 Construction of a heavy-duty reinforced concrete tank base
🔹 Building protective bund walls around the tank area for safety and spill control
🔹 Construction of the raised circular tank plinth where the new tank will stand
🔹 Additional backfilling and shaping around the structure
🔹 Installation of a drainage launder connecting the new bunded area to the existing dam for controlled runoff

This project is coming together well, and the progress photos show the transformation from the early excavation stages to the near-finished structure.

📅 Expected completion date: 15 May 2026

This project at Impala Platinum showcases the construction of a new Copper Filter Press Building — from the first excavation phase, through all progress stages, to the completed structure.

📍 Starting Phase: Work began with site clearing, excavation, and digging of foundation trenches. Concrete was then poured to create strong foundations capable of supporting the building and equipment loads.

📍 Progress Stages: As construction progressed, brickwork walls were built, structural components were installed, and the roof slab was completed. Each progress photo captures the step-by-step development of the building.

📍 Completed Phase: The final structure is now complete with finished brickwork, roofing, access doors, and ready for the next phase of equipment installation and operational use.

This project demonstrates the importance of quality civil construction — ensuring a safe, durable, and reliable building for the Copper Filter Press process.
