Apologies for the late post.

There are many times in the electrical contracting game when you hear the question 'why do I need to replace it, it has been working for years?' this is one of those cases.

Luckily this contractor went the extra mile to discover this lovely creation.

This image is a perfect illustration of the difficulty involved in having to either justify or inspect work done by another party because as a contractor you now would have to justify your actions on whether to move or insulate and the person who installed the appliance in such a precarious position gets away with it.

Easter weekend has come and gone and the days of fault finding will forever continue,

we had a generator panel that had been tampered with and had to do repairs, no matter the age of a panel or the design, panels can operate normally for many years without the requirement for maintenance,

faulty timer and battery charger replaced and all functions restored (which were removed),

please consider a professional before having every average go touch your emergency devices, these are crucial for operation when cables go missing (as they do in RSA),

if in doubt we are always on call and reasonably priced, with fast and efficient service.

With summer in full swing and our generators on stand by, we tend to forget that winter is nearing and with the cold winter nights the risk of load shedding looms.

Generators are mechanical and therefore require maintenance every now and then, more specifically:

a service every year/200 hours

One evening and an early morning, to fault find and rewire an entire generator panel to ensure an garage is not affected by Eskom outages. ATS units can be tricky, we highly recommend getting a qualified person to install and repair them.
