Member News: JUWI South Africa Surpasses 1 GW of Renewable Energy Under Construction as Global Solar PV Portfolio Exceeds 900 MW

Renewable energy developer JUWI Group has reached a milestone of 1 GW of renewable energy capacity under simultaneous construction across its global project portfolio, reflecting the company’s expanding presence in the solar and wind energy sectors.

The company said it is currently installing around 1.3 million solar modules across 12 photovoltaic (PV) projects and constructing 46 wind turbines with a combined capacity of approximately 270 MW. Overall, nearly 1 GW of additional renewable energy capacity is expected to be commissioned in the coming months.

JUWI Chief Executive Officer Jost Backhaus said the achievement demonstrates the company’s engineering, planning, and project ex*****on capabilities as construction activities continue across multiple international markets.
