Bush Lapa Caravan Power System Upgrades ✨️

This week I showcase my upgrades done on various Bush Lapa Offroad Caravans!

From the small Bush Lapa Vlooi, Bush Lapa Kewer, Bush Lapa Boskriek, Bush Lapa Miskruier, in fact any of the Bush Lapa Caravan "Gogga" series, to any of the Boabab or Ratel versions, I upgrade your Bush Lapa caravan with highly reliable, high performance power systems ⚡️

Toyota Land Cruiser V8 Caravan Battery Charging

Vehicle: Toyota Land Cruiser 76 V8
Caravan: Bush Lapa Boskriek
Charge Rate: 61.7 Amp
Batteries: LiFePO4 2x 105Ah (Caravan)

In this video I quickly test the effective charge rate of the auxiliary batteries using the Toyota Land Cruiser as a "generator" (system uses the standard alternator charge system to perform charging)

The results are stunning 👍🏻

💥 In this post we look at the Solar Power Options we provide & install for Bush Lapa caravans. Here are some details on features & options:

💥 Solar Panel Size & Fitment Options:
👉🏻 Various options from 80W, 120W to 160W+
👉🏻 Caravan Power Requirements determine the total size of system
👉🏻 Usually I prefer to install 2x Solar Panels or more if feasible
👉🏻 Roof Mounted + Removable Panels usually give you the best combination where panels work either from roof or from the ground
👉🏻 Proper Aluminium Mounting Frames for roof mounting
👉🏻 Multiple Panels are easier to handle / move
👉🏻 Various options regarding solar panel input connections to caravan solar chargers
👉🏻 Highly Reliable Solar Chargers for years of performance
👉🏻 Very good service life expectancy

💥 What if I need more power?:
👉🏻 We combine Portable Solar Panel options
👉🏻 No problem!

⚠️ Do I install single 400W or 550W Panels?
🙅🏻🙅🏻‍♂️❌️ No! NOT FOR CAMPING SYSTEMS!
⚡️🤕These panels have a much higher voltage than the smaller panels which becomes VERY DANGEROUS when exceeding 30V DC, some of these exceed even 60V DC and can be ⚡️⚡️ dangerous for anyone disconnecting or handling connections. We rather stay below 25V DC in our systems to avoid high voltage dangers

✅️ Clear Labels for Solar Inputs, Neat & Professional Cabling
✅️ Optimised Connections
✅️ Proper Grommets / Glands where entering caravans / trailers
✅️ General Wiring Upgrades usually recommended

Installing Solar Panels properly, safely and securely is extremely important to ensure safe operation and thatnpanels are secure while traveling. Designing a system to match the power requirements of the caravan, offgrid camping will be an enjoyable experience.
