On this Mandela Day, we are reminded that long before Motheo Construction Group was founded in 1997, former President Nelson Mandela had already articulated a vision that continues to shape our purpose today.
His words, spoken just two years before Motheo's inception, recognised that lasting infrastructure is not simply built with bricks and concrete; it is built through partnership, dignity and communities empowered to shape their own future.
At Motheo, this philosophy is woven into the way we work every day. Whether delivering housing, civil infrastructure, water projects or developing young artisans through our Academy, we believe meaningful progress begins by listening, collaborating and placing communities at the centre of every solution.
Our Mandela Day visit to the Olivenhoutbosch Disability Home was a natural extension of this commitment, because ours is to work with communities and empower them to continue doing the wonderful work they do.
