Expect to pay between R850 to R15k for a COC on your home sale. The onus is on both the buyer and selller to ensure that the electrician is duly qualified and registered with the ECA. Non-compliance can lead to costly legal cases. Do not skimp and put yours or other peoples lives at risk by using unqualified and unregistered electricians.

An Electrical Certificate of Compliance (COC) cost can range from R850 to R1,500 (no fixes) or from R1,000 to R15,000 if fixes are required.
