Incident: Theft of Aluminium, Taps & Copper Pipes
Area: Marina Beach

On Thursday, 14/05/2026, Maser Security⁠ received information regarding suspicious activity at a building in the Marina Beach area.

Members responded immediately and made contact with the complainant before proceeding to the identified premises. Upon arrival, members discovered a suspect actively stripping aluminium, taps, and copper piping from the building.

The suspect attempted to flee the scene but, due to the swift response and professionalism of Maser members, the suspect was successfully apprehended. The recovered items, together with the suspect, were handed over to South African Police Service for further investigation and processing.

Another successful response showcasing the dedication, rapid reaction, and commitment of Maser Security⁠ in protecting the community and combating crime.

Incident: Cable Theft
Area: Margate

On Thursday the 14/05/2026, Maser Security⁠ personnel responded swiftly to an alarm activation at one of our client’s properties in the Margate area.

Members immediately secured the premises while Maser Security personnel together with Maser K9 Unit conducted a thorough search of the property. During the operation, members discovered three suspects actively cutting and stealing electrical power cables.

Due to the rapid response and coordinated teamwork, two suspects were successfully apprehended on scene while one suspect managed to flee the area.

South African Police Service was contacted, and the suspects were handed over for further investigation and processing.

Excellent teamwork, rapid response, and professionalism displayed by all members involved.

Well done to everyone who contributed to the successful operation.

Incident: Stolen Motor Vehicle Recovered 🛻
Area: Harding

On Wednesday, 13/05/2026, Maser Security⁠ received information regarding a stolen Hyundai pick-up traveling along the N2 in the Harding area.

Members reacted swiftly and immediately mobilised to strategic observation points along the route. A short while later, the vehicle was successfully identified and placed under surveillance while members coordinated with South African Police Service Harding.

Through excellent teamwork and rapid response, the stolen vehicle was safely intercepted and stopped. One suspect was successfully arrested on scene.

This operation once again highlights the dedication, professionalism, and effective cooperation between security personnel and law enforcement in combating vehicle-related crime within our communities.

Theft of Diesel

On the 02/05/2026 Maser Security Members were searching for a suspect in the bushes near a business in the Shelly Beach/Izotsha area. During the search, they spotted a suspect inside the business premises in the process of stealing diesel.

Members quickly apprehended the suspect and discovered more containers of diesel in the field.

SAPS were contacted and suspect was handed over.

On the 28/04/2026 Maser Security responded to an alarm activation in the Marburg area. On arrival members notice a suspect trying to open the back door.

Backup arrived and the suspect was successfully apprehended. SAPS were contacted and suspect was handed over.

Theft of Copper Pipes

On the 24/04/2026 Maser Security Members were patrolling the Manaba area when they noticed a suspicious individual carrying a bag. As our Members approached him, he dropped the bag containing copper pipes and immediately started running. Members managed to apprehend him.

SAPS were contacted and suspect was handed over.

On the 23/04/2026 Maser Security Members were patrolling the Margate area when they noticed a suspicious male carrying items covered in black bags.

They managed to stop the individual and noticed he was carrying spades. He admitted to stealing them in the Margate area.

SAPS were contacted and suspect was handed over.
