Henry von Mollendorff acquired a vast experience in the building industry in a career that spans some 45 years of continued active involvement starting with LTA in the seventies as quantity surveyor [ became Grinaker/LTA ] and later as director of Edment Building Company which amongst many other landmark contracts built the new Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg, as well as the Breakers Hotel and Chartwell Center in Umhlanga Rocks.
