Where contemporary architecture meets the natural beauty of the Cape W**elands. 🌿🏡
Set within the beautiful Mount Vernon Estate in Klapmuts, Cape Town, this bespoke residence has been designed as a modern family sanctuary — connecting sophisticated contemporary living with the tranquillity of its surrounding landscape.
The architecture combines crisp white forms, dramatic charcoal standing-seam roofs, warm vertical timber detailing and expansive glazing, creating a home that feels both striking and grounded in its setting. A collection of pitched-roof volumes gives the residence its distinctive character, while landscaped courtyards, terraces and planted balconies soften the architecture and bring nature into the heart of the home.
The floor plan has been carefully considered around generous open-plan living and entertainment spaces, with the kitchen, dining and lounges flowing towards the outdoor areas. Large glass openings dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, leading to the covered patio, landscaped garden and swimming pool — creating an effortless environment for both everyday family life and entertaining.
Upstairs, the private bedroom accommodation is arranged around balconies and elevated outdoor spaces, taking advantage of the home's position and the natural beauty surrounding Mount Vernon Estate.
From the intimate internal courtyards to the dramatic double-storey glazing, timber-clad gables and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces, every element works together to create a residence that is modern, warm and distinctly connected to the Cape landscape.
A contemporary W**elands home designed not simply to occupy its setting, but to embrace it.
