Connection of UHMW PE Pipeline

Connecting UHMW PE pipes with Flared Ends and Flanges

The ends of UHMW PE Pipe is heated and then flared by a proprietary process ,which is carried out in producer's factory.The final pipe end is similar to a stub end .

The loose slip on fl**ge is usually mounted over the pipe before flaring process.
When connecting two flared ends with fl**ges together,no gasket is needed .Fastening by bolts and nuts will be ok.
The flared end connection with flangs is suitable for both hot and cold area.

Flexibility and Easy to Handle:

UHMWPE with light weight 1/8 of steel, so it is easy to handle. It's installation charge is only about 10% of pipe amount, while steel pipe is 20%.
UHMWPE pipes can be bent to a minimum of 30 times the pipe's outside diameter for HDPE. This flexibility and resiliency allows the pipe to absorb surge pressures, vibration and stresses caused by soil movement. This makes the pipes particularly useful in submarine pipe lines, mine subsidence and earthquake prone areas.
