Common mistakes made in Electrical wiring.
1. Making connections outside the electrical box.
*Junction boxes serve the purpose of protecting connections from accidental damage that can occur, they junction wires can contain sparks and heat due to a loose connection or short circuit. It is important therefore that wires are connected in the electrical box I n order to protect the wire and avoid fire hazards .
2. Cutting wires too short.
* Wires that protrude from the switches or outlets need to be long enough to allow a good connection on the switch or outlet.the protruding wires should be at least 9-inch to avoid loose connection even on the terminals.
* In a situation were the wires are cut too short simply add 6-inch extension on the existing wires.

3. Poor support for switches and outlets.
*Loose switches or outlets are not only eyesore ,they are very dangerous.
Connections that are not secure can cause wires to loosen from the terminals and after some time the wires can overheat causing a fire hazard.
Therefore it's important that the switches and outlets are properly screwed and tighten to the box.
