Been told solar is basically useless once the clouds roll in? Let's clear that one up ☁️

Your panels don't need a clear blue sky to do their job. They pick up scattered daylight even when it's grey outside, so they keep producing power.

On a partly cloudy day, expect 50–80% of normal output. Even on a proper overcast day, panels are typically still pulling in 10–25%.

Here's the part most people miss: it's not "cloudy vs. not cloudy" that matters, it's how thick the cloud is. A thin haze barely dents your output. A heavy grey storm cloud cuts it more.

So don't judge a solar system by one dull afternoon Look at what it does across a full year, and the picture looks a lot better.
