💡Tip of the Day
Why my phone has become slow.
There are various reasons why phones and tablets become slow with time. Below are some possible causes and possible remedies.
1. Too many applications open at the same time.
Close some that you are not using to free up memory
2. Remove unnecessary applications.
There are various applications you may not be using which you can either uninstall or disable, incase you may need to use them later.
3. Running out of Storage space.
Once this starts happening, you may need to delete or transfer some filles eg music, videos, documents to your memory card(if it has that option). Uninstall some applications you nolonger use or need.
4. Virus or Malware
Install virus or malware scanner and remove if detected.
5. Faulty Battery.
Faulty batteries can cause some performance issues from slowing or it suddenly switching off to even network signal loses which may lead to slower internet connection speeds.6. Software UpdatesKeeping your phone/tablet software upto date as well as your apps may improve performance and stability.
6. Backup and Reset.
Some applications may become too big as they store information about everything you will be doing. You have two options, either clear the apps cache or reset the phone/tablet itself to give it more of a fresh new start.
Please ensure you have atleast 50% battery life and the device is connected to a charger when resetting. If the battery's power deminishes while in the middle of resetting, the device may fail to start up and may need to be flashed.
