Dear friends and followers,
I knew you might be curious to know about my literary works, so I'm going to give you the book overviews:
The Emerging Sunrise - A novella
In the shadows of Zimbabwe’s betrayed liberation dreams, a courageous voice rises.
Frank Tafirenyika, a fearless advocate for the oppressed, embarks on a dangerous quest for justice after his brother Stephen — a journalist and activist — is silenced by a corrupt and ruthless regime.
As Frank uncovers the truth behind Stephen’s disappearance, his personal struggle transforms into a symbol of resistance for a nation desperate for accountability and change.
With tension mounting and powerful forces closing in, Frank must decide how far he is willing to go in the fight for truth. Will the dawn of a new era bring redemption, or will the system silence him too?
The Emerging Sunrise is a gripping tale of courage, sacrifice, and the unrelenting pursuit of justice — a story that reflects the resilience of those who dare to challenge oppression.
The Spider's Web - A novella
Caught between desperation and fragile hope, Tinashe — a brilliant but struggling
Zimbabwean orphan — stands at a painful crossroads. Armed with four A-grades at A-Level and a passion for law, his dreams are crushed by circumstance, forcing him to leave Zimbabwe and cross into South Africa in search of survival.
But Johannesburg offers no easy refuge. The harsh realities of migrant life quickly unravel Tinashe’s expectations, trapping him in a world of uncertainty and moral compromise. Just as he begins to adapt, his adopted sister Anesu arrives, fleeing her own troubled past.
As they struggle to survive, an unexpected and forbidden love develops, tightening the web of consequences around them. Bound by circumstance, loyalty, and desire, they must confront choices that could either set them free or destroy them.
The Spider’s Web is a powerful and emotionally charged story of migration, love, and the invisible forces that entangle the vulnerable.
The Poet's Journey - A poetry collection
The Poet’s Journey is a thought-provoking poetry collection by Stewart Musiwa that reflects on the social, political, and economic realities of contemporary Zimbabwe.
Through bold, honest, and reflective verse, the collection speaks to injustice, corruption, resilience, and hope. It is dedicated to courageous individuals who dare to speak truth to power and envision a future free from oppression and moral decay.
Both personal and universal, The Poet’s Journey invites readers to reflect, question, and draw strength from the enduring human spirit in the face of adversity.
