A pretty cool full circle moment.
We recently got the opportunity to re-roof a commercial warehouse in Loganholme. The address didn’t ring a bell, but as soon as I got to site, I realised I’d worked on the original build as a first or second-year apprentice.
Now, all these years later, I’m back re-roofing that same building under my own company, Envy Roofing.
What makes it even better is that the same edge protection company that installed the protection on the original build is back on this project too. I had nothing to do with that business back then—now I own it as well.
Back then, I was just a young bloke learning the trade. I wouldn’t have imagined I’d be back here in this position.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget how far you’ve come. This one made me stop and appreciate it.
