Welcome back to the Air Extreme Archives, where we ask ourselves the hard questions.

Last time: why leopards?
This time: WHO IS SHE?

Sometime in the distant past, we looked at a brief for a bus ad and said: "You know what? Forget the air conditioners. Forget the happy families in comfortable homes. What if... a mysterious icy woman. Emerging from the frost. Stares directly into the souls of Newcastle commuters."

And honestly, we respect it.

Was she the air conditioning? Was she a metaphor? Was she cold? We have SO many questions and absolutely no answers.

What we DO know is that this bus was impossible to ignore, the phone number is still the same (we checked), and we have clearly always had a flair for the dramatic. ❄️

20 years later, we've swapped mysterious ice women for actual results, but never lost the passion. 😂

Throwback Thursday: The Air Extreme era of bus advertising

As part of our 20 Years in Business series, we're taking a walk down memory lane - and yes, we're going HERE.
Somewhere in a boardroom, many years ago, someone at Air Extreme said: "You know what says 'air conditioning'? Leopards."

And honestly? No one argued.

We had a snow leopard. We had a cheetah. We had fiery orange gradients. We were ON. A. BUS. Rolling through the streets of Newcastle telling people we know climate control - with the energy of a nature documentary and absolutely zero explanation.

Did it make sense? Debatable. Did it turn heads? You bet it did. 🔥❄️

20 years later we still know climate control. We just let the work do the talking now. (The leopards have since retired.)

We've just wrapped up the air con fit-out for a brand new restaurant at Honeysuckle. Two large Daikin commercial units on the roof, ready to handle whatever a busy service throws at them.

Commercial hospitality spaces need reliable, heavy-duty systems - the last thing a restaurant needs on a packed Saturday night is the air con giving out. This one won't.

Not every job is a straight-forward wall split.

This one in Merewether is a beautiful home still under construction, and our team installed two standalone bulkhead units to keep the aesthetic completely clean.

No exposed units, no wall mounts - just two sleek cassette heads sitting flush in the timber bulkheads, with the Daikin outdoor units tucked neatly outside.

When the designer has put this much thought into a build, the air con needs to match. We think it does. 👌
