Did you know Cooly Rocks On Festival starts next week? 🎶🚗

One of Australia's largest nostalgia festivals is taking over Coolangatta from 3–7 June - and it's the perfect weekend adventure! Think 900+ incredible cars lining the streets, live rock 'n' roll, rockabilly and swing music, Pin-Up Pageants and tribute shows, all set against the backdrop of one of the GC's most beautiful beaches. 🌊

That's a wrap on our Mexican Fiesta Social Lunch! 🌮🎉

What an afternoon at the Gold Coast Student Hub - good food, great company, and live music to set the vibe. It was so lovely to see so many students come together, take a break from study, and enjoy a proper fiesta! 🎶✨

Tacos, Mexican bingo - and a whole lot of new friendships made. This is exactly what student life on the Gold Coast is all about. 💚

What a day learning all about our incredible city! 🏙️

It all kicked off with a Mayor's Leadership Conversation at the Hub with Mayor Tom Tate before our MSAs headed to the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre for a behind-the-scenes venue tour. The day rounded out with an insightful city workshop covering everything from council structure and local programs like NaturallyGC and the Active & Healthy Program, to key industry insights from Invest Gold Coast. ✨

Meet Citra - one of our fabulous 2026 Mayor's Student Ambassadors! ⭐️

Studying a Master of Construction Practice at Bond University , Citra is making the Gold Coast truly her own. From study sessions at the library and hunting for the best café, to beach days, hinterland adventures, and baking up a storm at home - her student life is full, fun, and uniquely hers. 🏗️🌿🍪

As a member of the National Association of Women in Construction Buddy Program, she's passionate about building connections and championing women in the industry - and her confidence and drive show in everything she does.

If you're wondering what Gold Coast student life can really look like…this is it. 🌅
