✨ Another outdoor space transformed ✨
This recently completed deck upgrade features the stunning EkoDeck Designer Series in a modern grey finish, giving our clients a low-maintenance entertaining area they can enjoy year-round.

✔️ Removed existing decking boards
✔️ Installed additional framing to ensure proper support
✔️ Supplied and installed EkoDeck Designer Series boards
✔️ Precision installation with 3mm board spacing
✔️ Reused existing deck framing where suitable

The fresh decking has completely modernised the space while providing the durability and performance that composite decking is known for.

Our clients came to us with an 8-year-old bathroom after noticing tiles beginning to pop and lift.

Unfortunately, further investigation revealed that the issue was more than just a few loose tiles. The original installation had not been completed correctly, with deficiencies found in both the tile installation and waterproofing system.

While bathrooms are designed to withstand daily exposure to moisture, they rely heavily on proper waterproofing and installation practices. When these aren't done correctly, failures can occur well before they should, often leading to costly repairs.

The good news is that the problem has now been identified, and we're working with the clients to completely rectify the space and ensure it meets current standards and provides many years of reliable use.

Friday Wrap Up 🔨

Another transformation complete this week with these tired and weathered barge boards now repaired, replaced and refreshed.

Barge boards play an important role in protecting the roof structure. Over time, exposure to Tasmania's harsh weather conditions, moisture, UV rays and wind can cause timber barge boards to deteriorate, crack, rot or become loose. If left unattended, this can allow water ingress, create maintenance issues within the roof cavity and detract from the overall appearance of the home.

Regular inspection and maintenance of barge boards helps to:
✔ Protect roof timbers from moisture damage
✔ Prevent costly repairs in the future
✔ Improve the longevity of the roof structure
✔ Maintain the property's street appeal
✔ Ensure loose or damaged sections don't become a safety hazard during high winds
