When chatting to new customers we always get around to our working history so I thought I would give a quick update and insight into my story and background to the new followers of my page. I used to be a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer, then a production Manager for a combin

ed total of 25 years back in the UK. I came to Perth wanting a complete change and to be able to spend more time with family, see my daughter grow up and have a better work/life balance. I was offered a few managerial positions back in early 2015 but it really didn't suit our family dynamics. After looking into one or two other areas I ended up spending time with a professional Window Cleaner east of Perth who showed me techniques and equipment required for the job. I started the family Window Cleaning business in May 2015 and have gradually built up a large customer base. I provide a quality service by being thorough in my work. So, if you're after a splash 'n' dash type window cleaner that's done in 15 minutes and leaves the frames dripping, I'm NOT the one for you. Due to my high standards, I carry out a lot of work for Real Estate agents, this includes work prior to home opens or for rental inspections / vacates. I do work for builders when I do the final Window clean prior to key handover. I also carry out a lot of work for commercial customers as well as residential. All my gear I buy from either the Eastern states, WA or the UK. As my business is a small family business and not a large franchise which sometimes has work and equipment supplied to them, it means when you book to use Ocean Window Cleaning you get myself working at your home or business, I do not sub-contract any of the work out to gain more business. The majority of my work these days is gained by customers recommending me to their friends and family, also customers that have used me for years. I am a fully insured business which is important if something was to happen around your property. I generally service Iluka - Alkimos and surrounding suburbs. Just a quick post (tip) guys not to stick foil (alfoil) to your glass. I've seen it a number of times over the years that I've done this and recently again on a customers window. Some people apply it to the glass to block out light for their baby or toddler to sleep, as tempting as it maybe, unfortunately it ruins the glass as the heat just bakes the foil flush into the window. Please see attached.

Also, something else I see quite a bit. I recently cleaned the glass of another property going to market. The property previously had their external glass cleaned within the last 12 months, but the internals hadn't been cleaned for a good while. Mould and general build up forms on the internals, especially bedrooms. A good idea, especially when winter comes is opening a bedroom window in the morning to reduce condensation and help prevent mould. All these drips in the photos would normally be collected as I squeegee, but did this as an example.

What a great couple I had as a first time customer today. After an earlier job, I messaged ahead to say I'll be earlier than planned, only to get told off in jest saying 'I'm early, the cake isn't out of the oven yet' 😂. My new customer had made a cake for me arriving! It was a lovely boiled fruit cake, they even wrapped some up for the family. Only problem now is I'll have to do an extra workout in the garage.

I couldn't book people in today as we were down in Leederville again for another gymnastics competition. The sacrifice was worthwhile as Erin took out first place overall at national level in the judges invitational competition. She placed 1st in beam, bars and vault, also 2nd on floor. We were stoked and very proud. It makes having to cut my days short during the week to prepare and take her for training, which totals 14.5 hrs a week a little more meaningful.

One of my (what used to be nice customer) today ☺️ said I should do myself an AI Action figure, I wondered what she was on about. Anyway, she took my photo and later sent me this. It just shows how inaccurate AI is, it's made me look 102 years old and added 500 lbs to me. At least the cup of tea is accurate.

End of July already!

I've had quite a few bookings already as per usual for the Christmas season, but still been busy with new and old residential customers, also some small and large early commercial work, a couple of the smaller ones on here.

Apart from some early commercial and some residential work already booked next week, it's a bit here and there over the next week due to appointments I have and my daughters inter school X country next Friday.

Due to one of my regulars saying I never post anymore, here are just a few jobs completed lately.
Oh, and also some amazing reviews that have been posted on Google, one from a new customer on a job today. One of these jobs originally only wanted an external clean, but when I quoted I cleaned a couple of the inside panes to show the build up internally, they couldn't believe the difference so decided to book the full clean.

Hi all,

Just have to bring this to your attention. After a job I've just done, I went to quote one further up the road and the lady brought to my attention that if my business name is put into Google, AI collates information from the name. Unfortunately there is a business in America with the same name and it's collating comments from customers that have used that business too. It's basically giving an overview of all the good points from my business, and the bad points from the other business. I've never been unreliable and cleaned rangehoods etc that some of the info is saying. I've only ever had positive feedback. It's also collated info from customers in Helena Valley and Ellenbrook, places I don't work. Please be vigilant these days with AI around as it's giving incorrect information. I've attached a couple of the screenshots, also I've never been on Yelp site, used hi pages, one flare or any paid service that AI is alluding to.

Meet June,

June has just turned 90 and is amongst one of my oldest and dearest customers. To add to the window clean today, my wife and daughter made some cupcakes and got flowers which she was so happy with. I always have a cuppa and a chat with June, even if time is tight.
