Project Update | Pilbara

A strong effort from our FRP crews in the Pilbara, digging deep to deliver a bespoke dissipator structure for our client.

The works involved a blend of conventional and proprietary formwork systems, engineered and delivered by our team on the ground, in close collaboration with the earthworks and HDPE liner crews. The result reflects what happens when pre-planning, drive and disciplined coordination come together, tight deadlines met without compromise to quality or safety.

Credit to every CATS team member on site who made it happen.

An unexpected find during our office move!

Hidden away in a box was our Director's old digital camera, filled with site photos from 2010. Looking back at these early projects is a great reminder of how far CATS Construction has come over the past 15 years.

We thought these archive shots were too good not to share!

Celebrating 6 Years | Liam O'Neill

May this year marked six years at CATS Construction for our Superintendent, Liam O'Neill.

Six years of leading crews, running sites, and delivering work to the standard our clients have come to expect of CATS. Liam's contribution across that time speaks for itself - in the projects he's delivered, the teams he's built, and the trust he's earned with everyone he works alongside.

Thank you, Liam, for six strong years. Looking forward to many more.

CCF WA Budget Infrastructure Breakfast

A couple of members of our CATS Construction management team attended the CCF WA State Budget Infrastructure Breakfast at Crown Perth a few weeks back - a morning of insight into the State and Federal Budgets and what they mean for civil infrastructure across WA.

Staying close to the conversations shaping our industry is part of how we operate.

Thanks to for another well-run event.

CATS Construction has successfully completed the Wilura Road Drainage Upgrade for the Shire of Mundaring - a key local infrastructure project delivering a higher-capacity closed drainage system and associated service relocations along Wilura Road and its surrounds.

Scope of works delivered:

• Vegetation and tree clearing of Wilura easement
• Excavation and backfill of the existing open drain
• Removal of existing headwalls and concrete pipe
• Coordination with utility providers including Water Corporation and Telstra for service relocations
• Supply and installation of stormwater pipes and associated drainage structures

June in Pictures | CATS Construction

A solid month of June across the board for CATS.

From dry vacuum excavation in suburban Perth to bulk earthworks, piling, reinforcement and slipform setup on projects across the state, June was a strong reflection of the breadth of work the CATS Construction team is currently delivering.

Different sites. Different scopes. Same standard, every time.

Thank you to every team member on the tools, behind the wheel, and behind the scenes for the work you've put in this month. The pictures tell the story.

What does it take to construct a 56-metre diameter concrete water tank?

An engineer designed formwork system. Precise reinforcement and cast in placement. A crew that knows what's at stake when the material rolls up.

The first base pour has been complete on the Newman Water Storage Tank for SRG and BHP: a 56m diameter structure that forms a critical part of the Pilbara's water infrastructure.

CATS scope on the project covers design and install of the formwork system, plus installation of the reinforcement.

The planning behind a pour like this starts months before the concrete arrives. Credit to the team for the result.

Currently in the works: Wall and Column Installation.

CATS Community | Carine Netball Club Sponsorship

CATS Construction is a proud sponsor of Carine Netball Club for the 2026/2027 season, and what a way to kick it off.

We stopped by the first training session of the season on Monday, and the energy was hard to miss. Strong turnout, a club clearly buzzing for the season ahead, and great to see the CATS branding on display across the new club kit.

Best of luck to the Carine teams taking the court this year.

Project Spotlight | Mandurah Estuary Bridge

What a drone shot of a landmark piece of infrastructure for the Peel region 👏 one we're happy to have left our mark on.

CATS Construction delivered the drainage and noisewall scope on this project, contributing to a crossing that will serve the community for generations. Every pit, pipe and panel was installed with the same standard we bring to every job: precision, accountability, and finish that speaks for itself.

Projects of this scale demand more than capability. They demand a team that understands the weight of getting it right, first time, every time.

To our crews, delivery partners and the broader project team: thank you for the collaboration.
