Bear with me for a moment while I organise my thoughts.
Isn't it amazing how a simple 'something' can make you feel. Something so unassuming as a paint colour, a cabinetry style, a benchtop, or in this case all of those combined.
Arriving on site this morning to see benchtops installed and I was hit with this immediate sense of home. I know I use that word a lot, but where a house is a structure, home is a feeling.
I could see the meals being prepared, the laughter shared around the island bench, the love.
As I sifted through my mind to find the words to fit, I struggled. Nothing quite seemed to be enough to describe it aptly.
Calming
Soft
Loving
Welcoming
Light
And then it struck me that all of those words could be used to describe the woman about live here.
Somehow, with the endless options available, our clients, architect, interior designer, and cabinet maker have managed to put together a kitchen that couldn't possibly be more perfect.
And the reason it feels so perfect is because it fits those who will live here.
It's theirs.
And it's not even finished!
Every now and then we are asked why we do what we do.
That feeling when I walked into the home this morning.
That's why.
