His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, inaugurated the water storage tanks in Brikama, Nema-Su and Banjul on the 14th, 16th and 19th of October 2026, respectively, as part of his “Meet The People Tour”.

ASPAC International, on behalf of the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC), constructed three elevated water storage tanks as part of a wider Gambia Electricity Restoration and Modernization Project (GERMP). ASPAC International’s project scope also included two borehole installations and approximately 10 km of pipeline network extensions serving the Brikama and Gunjur water networks.

Together, these works are designed to strengthen water storage capacity, support efficient distribution and improve access to water supply for Gambians.

The inauguration ceremonies marked an important milestone in The Gambia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen water infrastructure and improve the reliability of water supply services for its communities. As The Gambia continues to invest in essential infrastructure, ASPAC International remains committed to delivering robust, dependable water systems that serve communities and contribute to sustainable development.
