A new collectible ceramic design object, designed by ODA Architecture and handmade in our studio in Valencia, Spain.

A smaller scale, but conceived with the same sculptural presence.

Inspired by the rocky landscapes surrounding Valencia, the object explores the way mineral formations shift, fracture and transform over time.

Its exterior is built up as a sequence of irregular planes, almost as if layers of stone have moved against one another. In contrast, the interior remains deliberately smooth and restrained.

The result sits somewhere between sculpture and function.

An object in its own right, but one that can also become part of everyday life.

Approximately 20 × 20 cm.

Hand-built in our Valencia studio, with a tactile mineral surface that preserves the marks, irregularities and natural character of the material.

Public pavilion and landscape architecture in Geraardsbergen, Belgium, designed as a place for encounter.

Originally conceived as a memorial after the pandemic, the pavilion became something more: a place where people meet, pause and pass through.

Located between the hospital, music school and shopping streets, the site was already a natural crossroads in the city. Our architecture simply strengthens what was already there.

A lightweight steel structure rests on just six columns, allowing the pavilion to float above the landscape. Its glass roof extends far beyond the structure, creating a generous sheltered space without enclosing it.

Rainwater becomes part of the architecture. Collected by the glass roof, it flows visibly through steel spouts into concrete basins before slowly returning to the landscape below.

A pavilion that touches the ground lightly, but gives the place a stronger identity.

A new collectible ceramic sculpture, designed and handmade by ODA in Valencia, Spain.

Object 03.

Inspired by the geological formations of the Valencian landscape, the object explores the contrast between erosion and precision, between what appears carved by nature and what is shaped by hand.

A fragmented, rock-like base carries a quieter horizontal form above. Irregular edges, traces of the hand and subtle variations are deliberately preserved. No two objects will ever be exactly alike.

Conceived first as a sculptural object, it can also become part of everyday rituals. An object to observe, to touch, and to live with.

Each piece is built entirely by hand in our studio in Valencia.

Object 03 will be released this autumn in a limited, numbered edition.

A school designed as a small village.

One year ago, we completed this kindergarten in Beveren, Flemish Brabant, Belgium.

The starting point was simple: how do you make a large building feel small?

Instead of designing the school as one volume, we broke it down into a collection of smaller houses. Different pitched roofs come together like a little village, translating a relatively large programme into an architecture that feels familiar and understandable at the scale of a child.

Because architecture is experienced differently when you are only one metre tall.

Behind the playful appearance lies a deliberately rational structure. The school was built as an industrial steel construction, allowing us to use the available budget where it mattered most: generous spaces, natural light, custom-made furniture and places that invite children to move, meet, sit, discover and play.

The result is not simply a building made smaller for children. It is architecture imagined from their point of view.

One year later, seeing these spaces come to life is still the most rewarding part of the project.

Object 02 from ODA Objects, our collection of handmade sculptural ceramics and collectible design objects, designed by ODA Architecture and made by hand in Valencia, Spain.

Architecture, translated into clay.

OBJECT 02

Built by hand from individual slabs of clay, Object 02 explores repetition, rhythm and irregularity.

Its vertical planes create an ever-changing composition of light and shadow. From every angle, the object reveals a different silhouette.

At 58 cm high, it exists somewhere between a vessel and a sculpture.

No two will ever be exactly alike.

Object 02 is the second piece we’re revealing from ODA Objects. Over the coming weeks, the collection will unfold piece by piece.

Architecture and interior design for a multifunctional creative studio and makers’ space in Valencia, Spain, designed by ODA.

A space conceived for making, meeting, exhibiting and creating.

Part workshop, part studio, part gathering space. A flexible interior where objects can be made and displayed, projects presented, photographs taken and people brought together.

Terracotta, raw concrete, aluminium and lacquered surfaces create a warm but robust backdrop that can continuously change with its use.

Designed as a place without one fixed function. A framework for creativity.

Object 01.

58 cm of hand-built clay. Shaped slowly, piece by piece, leaving every fold, line and irregularity visible.

The first object from a collection we’ve been quietly developing alongside our architecture.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll reveal the collection piece by piece, from the making process to the finished objects.

A 1970s home renovation in Valencia, Spain.

Originally defined by its generous windows and panoramic views over the Valencian mountains, this home was renovated with a focus on material, light and proportion.

A continuous travertine floor brings warmth and calm to the interior, while soft floor to ceiling curtains filter the Mediterranean light throughout the day. Vintage and contemporary design pieces add contrast and character without competing with the architecture.

Preserving the spirit of the original 60s and 70s house while creating a quieter, more contemporary way of living.
