Jones Creek Bridge Update!

The crews have had another busy month on site with strong progress being made on key components of the work, including abutment and wingwall construction, roadway reconstruction and paving, drainage installations, and the start of instream activities.

New Project: Anderson Creek Culvert Replacement 🏗️

We’re excited to share one of our newest projects with the Township of Langley, BC.

The Anderson Creek Culvert Replacement is well underway, with the new 4.3m x 3.6m precast concrete box culvert now installed. These large-scale culvert sections required detailed planning, careful coordination, and a great effort from everyone onsite to ensure a successful installation. A huge shoutout to our crew for reaching this important project milestone!

This project also includes creek diversion works, utility coordination, retaining walls, roadway reconstruction, and creek restoration to improve drainage capacity while enhancing the surrounding environment.

We’re excited to see this project continue to take shape!

Strengthening flood protection in Fort Langley.

Work is underway on the Salmon River D**e Upgrade, where our team is raising and widening approximately 600 metres of existing d**e along the Fort-to-Fort Trail. This important project will improve long-term flood resilience through d**e enhancements, riverbank erosion mitigation, infrastructure upgrades, and environmental restoration.

The project includes the installation of natural erosion protection systems, rock armouring, large woody material, vegetation restoration, and improvements to trail and maintenance access, helping protect the community while preserving the surrounding environment.

Our team is off to the races on the Vedder River Sediment Removal project for the City of Chilliwack.
This work involves excavating accumulated sediment from the river, stockpiling material along the riverbank, and hauling it to an approved offsite location.
By restoring river capacity, this project plays an important role in reducing flood risk and protecting the surrounding community. We’re proud to be part of another project that helps build stronger, more resilient infrastructure.

A lot can happen in a month and a half. 🚀

The crew has been keeping busy at the Zenterra Developments Eden Lot 3 site, and it’s great to see all the progress coming together. We love watching these projects evolve from the ground up.

With 70% of the bulk excavation complete and shotcrete and shoring progressing steadily, the team is continuing to keep things moving and setting the stage for the next phase of the project.

Beating the heat with a freezie run! 🥶☀️

The health, safety, and well-being of our workers remain our highest priority, particularly during periods of elevated temperatures. We are committed to minimizing the risk of heat-related illnesses by implementing effective heat stress controls, including encouraging regular rest breaks, promoting hydration throughout the workday, and monitoring workers for signs and symptoms of heat stress. As part of these efforts, we also provide freezies to our field crews as a simple but effective way to help workers cool down, stay refreshed, and recognize the hard work they perform in challenging conditions.

Huge shout out to our crews who work hard no matter the weather!

This project is part of a growing community in Surrey, helping bring new infrastructure and housing to the Fraser Valley.

Big milestone at 212th!
The curbs are complete, paving begins next week, and we’re in the home stretch. Huge credit to our crew for the quality work, attention to detail, and effort they’ve put into this project every step of the way.
Looking forward to putting the finishing touches on this one.
