New Project: Jones Creek Bridge Replacement 🎉
We’re proud to be delivering the Jones Creek Bridge Replacement project on Mission Road in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation and Transit.

This important infrastructure project includes the realignment of Mission Road in Williams Lake, construction of a new 21.6 m single-span bridge featuring pre-stressed twin-cell concrete box stringers, precast concrete abutments founded on steel pipe piles, and demolition of the existing storm-damaged bridge.

The scope also includes channel widening, riprap protection and scour mitigation, fish habitat enhancement works, construction of 340 m of paved roadway, culvert installations, fencing, signage, driveway access, landscaping, and seeding.

A great example of infrastructure renewal that will enhance connectivity and reliability for the local community.

Day 5 of Safety Week at Regehr Contracting.

Today’s focus: Personal Responsibility

Safety isn’t just policies and procedures—it’s the choices we make every single day on site. From wearing your PPE to taking an extra minute to do it right, it all matters.

Ask yourself:
• Am I leading by example?
• Am I following every procedure, even when no one is watching?
• Am I actively looking out for my crew?

A strong safety culture starts with ownership. When each of us takes responsibility, we build a site where safety always comes first—not just during Safety Week, but every day.

Day 4 of Safety Week at Regehr Contracting
Today’s focus: Hazard Identification & Control.

Every job site has risks, the difference is how early we catch them. Loose materials, equipment issues, changing site conditions… spotting hazards before work starts is what keeps crews safe.

Before you get going, take a quick look around:
• What could go wrong here?
• Can it be eliminated, reduced, or controlled?
• Has everyone who needs to know been informed?

If something doesn’t look right, don’t ignore it or work around it, stop, speak up, and deal with it. Small corrections now prevent serious incidents later.

Stay alert, stay proactive, and keep the standard high.

It’s day 3 of Safety Week at Regehr Contracting, and today’s focus is Communication.

Clear communication on the job site is critical to keeping everyone safe. Whether it’s discussing a plan, calling out a hazard, or confirming a task, speaking up and listening carefully helps prevent misunderstandings that lead to incidents.

Before starting any job, ask yourself:
• Does everyone know their role?
• Have hazards been clearly communicated?
• Are we checking in with each other throughout the task?

No one works alone—every task depends on teamwork and clear direction. When in doubt, ask questions and confirm details.

Safety is a shared effort. Let’s keep communication strong and continue looking out for one another.

It’s Day Two of Safety Week at Regehr Contracting, and today’s focus is Situational Awareness.

Staying alert on the job site isn’t just a guideline, it’s a responsibility we all share. From spotting potential hazards to keeping communication clear, being aware of your surroundings helps prevent incidents before they happen.

Before every task, take a moment:
• What’s changed since yesterday?
• Are there new risks?
• Does everyone understand the plan?

Safety doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built through attention, preparation, and teamwork.

Let’s look out for one another and keep today incident-free.
