Lima Architects provides services to Residential, Commercial, and Institutional clients over the GTA. Fernando Lima, OAA. Is a licensed Ontario architect.

Prior to forming LIMA ARCHITECT in 2014, Fernando has been working since 2005 for a design award winning architectural firm (ATA) in Oakville Ontario as a an associate architect, being responsible for design and project management for several projects. While working at ATA, Fernando had been managing large scale projects from the design to contract administration. LIMA ARCHITECT. The company started in February of 2014 and is now a Ontario registered architectural firm specialized in residential, commercial, mixed use and Industrial projects. The firm provides architectural services using cutting edge design and technology. The firm believes a good design comes from the interaction and collaboration between the client and the architect. The company’s priority is the satisfaction of our clients.

Big Bay Point | Barrie, Ontario

A new residential complex of four buildings, planned in two phases on a full block bounded by Big Bay Point Road, Bertha Avenue, Montgomery Drive and Ashford.

The design draws on the rhythm of a checkerboard. Light and dark planes alternate across the facades, giving each building its own expression while keeping the pair in harmony.

Phase I delivers Buildings A and B: two six-storey, wood frame buildings with 468 residential units and one level of underground parking.

Spring Creek Daycare | Waterdown, Ontario

Designed at a child's scale. Six age-specific classrooms for 90 children, daylight from perimeter windows, and separate playgrounds for toddlers and preschoolers.

Cedar Springs Child Care | Burlington, Ontario

As Cedar Springs Racquet Club grows, so does its child care centre. We were retained to design its expansion and remodel, with one goal: a warm, fun and welcoming space for kids.

Geometric shapes and forms stimulate learning, while vibrant colours and materials bring energy to every corner. The result is a place where children feel at home, and parents feel comfortable leaving them.

Small building, public purpose. A park field house for the Town of Oakville, shaped by its users and its site, with accessible washrooms designed to municipal standards.

Lisa Towers | Brampton, Ontario

Four towers, one continuous gesture. A diagonal “cut” carves through each tower, creating a visual link that appears to run from one building to the next.
Rising 40, 40, 56 and 65 storeys at Queen Street and Dixie Road, the complex places all parking underground, freeing the ground plane for a landscaped central courtyard that unites the towers.
