🍁 Leaves are falling. Temperatures are dropping. Your septic tank? Yep, it’s still filling. 💩

Before the snow starts flying and winter settles in, now’s a great time to check that septic pump-out off your fall to-do list!

Next week’s schedule is filling up fast, and Mike will be trading his septic truck for the deer stand the first week of November! 🦌🍂

If you’ve been putting off that pump-out, now’s the time to get on the schedule!

🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! 🧡

This Thanksgiving, we’re feeling especially grateful for the incredible community that continues to support our little family business.

To everyone who has trusted us with their septic needs, recommended us to a friend or neighbour, shared one of our posts, or simply cheered us on along the way — THANK YOU! ❤️

When you support a small family business, you’re supporting so much more than just a service, and we never take that for granted.

To our amazing customers, friends, neighbours, and those we haven’t had the chance to meet just yet, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with good food, great company, and plenty to be thankful for!

From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁

Mike & Liz ❤️

🍂 Things that SHOULD be full in October…

🪵 Your woodshed.
🦃 Your Thanksgiving plate.
🍺 Your cooler.
📅 Your long weekend plans.

Things that should NOT be full?
💩 Your septic tank.

Thanksgiving company, fall weekends and cottage closing season are here — probably not the best time to find out your tank had plans of its own. 😬

If it’s been a while, give Mike a call and get that pump-out checked off the fall list.

🌽 CORN SEASON: THE SEQUEL 💩

It’s almost the end of that magical time of year in Ontario…

Roadside corn stands.
Corn roasts.
Butter dripping down your arm.
And Mike discovering that apparently corn enjoys a second career in septic tanks. 😂🌽

Here’s your friendly seasonal reminder:
Corn doesn’t break down particularly well.

We’re not saying you shouldn’t eat it.
Absolutely eat the corn.
Slather it in butter.
Enjoy every kernel.

We’re just saying Mike might see it again. 👀💩

And if your tank is already due for a pump, maybe don’t wait until Thanksgiving dinner adds to the situation. 😂

🌽 Eat local.
💩 Pump responsibly.
🚛 Leave the rest to Mike.

Special shout out to those that bid on our pump out at the Moonstone Community Corn Roast the other week 🫶

P.S. If you see our truck parked at a corn stand, send a wave. Mike likes corn too. 😂

A little heads-up from us 💩

Like pretty much everything these days, the cost of keeping our truck on the road and disposing of what we pump has gone up — particularly diesel and disposal fees.

We’ve done our best to keep our pricing as reasonable as possible, but we’ve had to make a small adjustment to our pump-out rates.

The good news? These prices are staying put for the rest of the 2026 season.

If your tank is due (or maybe more than due 👀), now is a great time to get it taken care of. Book your pump-out before November 1 and you’ll lock in our current 2026 pricing.

Our rates will be increasing again for the 2027 season, so if you’ve been putting it off… consider this your friendly sign from the septic people. 😂

Your relationship with your septic system should be simple:

You flush. 🚽
It does its job.
Mike shows up every few years.
Everybody lives happily ever after.

If things have become complicated — slow drains, smells, backups, or you genuinely have no idea when it was last pumped — maybe it’s time we talk.

🎒 Someone was a little eager for back-to-school this year…

School doesn’t start until September 8, but apparently Mike wanted to get his first-day picture out of the way early. 😂

Grade: 💩

Unfortunately, after checking his records, we discovered this is NOT Mike’s first day of septic. He’s 49 years old and has been dealing with everyone else’s crap since 2023. 😂

So while the kids still have a little summer left, consider this your friendly back-to-school reminder: if your septic tank worked overtime all summer too, maybe it deserves a little attention before fall. 💩

💩 Quick homeowner question…

When was the last time you had your septic tank pumped?

A) Last year — look at you being responsible.
B)A few years ago… probably?
C) We bought the house in 2019 and have never discussed this.
D) We’ve mutually agreed not to acknowledge each other.

If you answered B, C or D, it might be time to give Mike a call.

Cottage Country Septic Service is locally owned and booking residential septic pump-outs throughout our area.

Routine maintenance is a whole lot nicer than finding out your tank is full the hard way. Send us a message to get your home on the schedule.

If your septic tank could text you…

📱 “Hey… it’s me. I’ve been taking one for the team for a few years now. Maybe it’s time we see each other again?”

😂

If it’s been a while since your last pump-out, consider this your sign.

Whether you’re at home, the cottage, selling your property, or just can’t remember the last time it was done, we’d be happy to help.
