There was a glitch with our office phone system this afternoon (Friday, August 28th) and several messages disappeared before they could be transcribed. If you left a phone message today and do not hear back by noon tomorrow at the latest, please do call again! We always return calls promptly and are very concerned about the missing messages. Based on the messages we were able to retrieve, the missing ones came in between 11:25 and 2:10 today.

Robin, Audrey, and all the staff at Barrett Firewood want to wish Kate and her family all the best with their upcoming move to British Columbia. Kate was often the voice you heard on the office phone, answering questions, taking orders, and keeping the deliveries flowing. We will all miss her.

We are currently looking for someone to fill her position, and appreciate your patience with possible delays in returning calls if we are not able to hire someone before she leaves us on August 21st, and with any possible hiccups as we train a new employee. The retail yard at 242 Beaver Bank Road will be open on Natal Day, Monday, August 3rd at our regular hours of 10 until 5. We are fully stocked with all of our landscape products, both bagged and bulk, and lots of firewood, from small bags suitable for a single campfire up to full cords. Please remember to check burning restrictions before starting your campfire. The burnsafe map is upated every day at 2:00 p. m.:

Our retail hours change with the season, so we are updating our summer hours at our retail yard at 242 Beaver Bank Road, effective immediately. We are open 10-5 on weekdays, 10-4 on Saturdays, and 10-2 on Sundays until further notice. We are fully stocked with all of our landscape products, both bagged and bulk, and as always have a very good supply of cut and split firewood, both 16 inch length and 12 inch length. Payment options at the yard are cash or debit.

Both the retail yard at 242 Beaver Bank Road and the office will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st for Canada Day. We have a few firewood and landscape delivery spots open on July 2nd and 3rd. Just phone the office at 902-252-3137 and we'll be happy to schedule you in.

We have landscape product delivery availability on Saturday, May 30th for anyone wanting to get some work done around their property this weekend. While the office officially closes at 2:30 on Friday, messages will be checked in the evening so just phone 902-252-3137 and let us know what you would like, and if you have to leave a message, know that we will get back to you this evening to finalize all of the details. You can also just stop in to the retail yard at 242 Beaver Bank Road and place your order there as the yard is open until 5:30 today, and will be open from 8 until 4 on Saturday.

A fresh load of garden soil was just delivered to our retail yard at 242 Beaver Bank Road and office staff are phoning customers on our waiting list to let everyone know they can come to pick up what they need. We have no delivery spots available today, but if you need delivery just let the office know (902-252-3137) and we will get a delivery out to you next week. A fresh load of black mulch arrived yesterday, and more gravel and crusher dust will be arriving later today, so we will be well supplied for weekend pickups.

We are currently sold out of our bulk and bagged Garden soil, after a very busy weekend, and due to equipment problems for our supplier we do not know when we will be able to get another delivery. If you are not in a hurry for the product, just call the office at 902-252-3137 to add your name to our waiting list and we will contact you as soon as we are restocked.
