Another exterior transformation completed

A good clean up, preparation and fresh coat of paint has made a huge difference to this garage.

It’s always satisfying seeing the before and after side by side!

Another little bathroom transformation finished

The customer wanted to update the existing pedestal basin and give the bathroom a more modern look.

The old basin was removed and replaced with a new vanity unit, countertop basin and black tap, finished off with the new tiled splashback.

It’s made a big difference to a fairly small space and also gives them some useful storage underneath.

Really pleased with how this one turned out.

If you’ve got any small plumbing, bathroom or general household jobs that you’ve been meaning to get sorted, feel free to call, text or message (Tony)The Helpful Bloke Handyman Services.

A small job that’s made a big difference.

I recently fitted this handrail for a local lady who was struggling to get safely to the top of her garden.

It’s now given her a bit more support and confidence so she can enjoy more of her garden again.

Sometimes simple improvements like handrails or grab rails can make everyday life much easier.

If anyone locally needs something similar, feel free to get in touch.

Weekly Update – The Helpful Bloke Handyman Services

One of this week’s jobs was replacing a standard toilet with a Comfort-Height (taller) toilet to help make things easier and more comfortable for a less able lady to use.

As part of the job, I also made good the laminate flooring around the toilet, so everything was left neat and properly finished.

Sometimes a simple change like this can make a real difference to someone’s day-to-day life.

Here are a few before and after photos of the job. If you or a family member need any small jobs or alterations around the home to make things safer, easier or more practical, feel free to get in touch.

A little weekly update from The Helpful Bloke

Another busy week and certainly a warm one today 🥵

One of the nice things about doing local jobs is meeting some lovely people — today’s customer has just come out with some freshly picked strawberries from this morning

You can’t beat that! 😋

Hope everyone’s having a good week.

Another good busy week for The Helpful Bloke, with a nice variety of jobs keeping me occupied.

Got home on Friday looking forward to a relaxing evening and putting my feet up…

Then the wife says, “I’ve got a job for you.”

Apparently the strawberries haven’t done particularly well this year, so she decided the strawberry bed needed a complete rethink ready for next year.

Rather than buying everything new, we dismantled and reused what we already had and came up with this tiered strawberry bed.

Her idea… my Friday evening!

Now we just need the strawberries to do their bit next year.

🛠️ One of the more unusual jobs this week! 🐢🐢

When I say no two days are ever the same, I really mean it!

This week I was asked to assemble these fantastic bunk beds for two tortoises, Tommy & George. It was certainly something different from the usual handyman jobs, but I have to say they now have a pretty impressive home!

Whether it’s assembling furniture, carrying out repairs, odd jobs around the home, or even helping create a bespoke home for your pets, I’m always happy to help.

Good luck in your new home, Tommy & George! 🐢🐢

If you’ve got a job that needs doing – no matter how unusual – feel free to get in touch.

💧 Helpful Tip of the Week

Make sure everyone in your home knows where the main water shut-off valve is.

If a pipe bursts or a leak happens, shutting water off quickly can prevent major damage.

A simple thing that can save thousands 👍
