Another project completed ☑️

These IKEA wardrobes were fully built in to create a seamless fitted look, finished with oak-style shaker doors and brass handles to tie in perfectly with the rest of the room.

Inside the wardrobes features:
- Two hanging poles to hang clothing up in each one
- Multiple shelves
- 3 drawers for easy access
- A mesh Basket below

We also completed all of the wall panelling throughout the room, finished in a soft sage green which works great with the woodland wallpaper and natural wood furniture

The aim was to make the room feel warm, calm and custom built — and I think it all came together perfectly.

Another kitchen transformation completed ✔️

This one was a full renovation from top to bottom. We stripped everything back, ripped out the old kitchen and removed the internal window to completely open up the space and give it a much cleaner layout.

The whole room was freshly plastered throughout, with new flooring fitted to brighten and modernise the space. We also upgraded the heating with a new radiator and finished everything off with new architrave, skirting boards and a new window board for a sharp, clean finish.

The new kitchen supplied by Howdens in sage green completely changed the feel of the room — paired with warm wood worktops and black accessories for a modern but timeless look.

We also carried out all electrical upgrades including:
• New sockets and switch fronts
• Additional sockets added for better practicality
• New lighting features

As well as:
• Blinds fitted
• Floating shelves installed in the utility area for extra storage and styling

A complete refresh that’s made this kitchen brighter, more functional and far more usable day to day.

Just finished this staircase panelling project…

The customer wanted to add a bit of character to what was previously a very plain, narrow stairwell, so I went for a classic panel design to bring some depth and detail without overwhelming the space. Keeping everything in a soft neutral tone helps bounce the light around and keeps it feeling bright and open, even with the high walls.

The panelling flows seamlessly up the stairs and continues straight into the bedroom. It ties the spaces together so nicely and makes the whole transition feel much more considered and cohesive.

These jobs can be quite tedious and take a lot of patience but it is well worth the time (and all of the maths involved) 😅

Just wrapped up a satisfying project: fitting 8 solid oak doors into existing frames, all finished with sleek black ironmongery 👌

Working with existing door frames always brings its own challenges — no two openings are ever quite the same. Each door needed careful measuring, planing, and adjustment to get that perfect, smooth fit. Taking the time here makes all the difference in how the doors hang and close.

The natural grain of the oak really stands out once installed, adding warmth and character to each room. Pairing that with black handles and hinges gives a clean, modern contrast that ties everything together nicely.

Attention to detail is key on jobs like this — consistent gaps, solid hinges, and a crisp finish throughout. Really pleased with how these turned out.

Another great transformation completed this week 🙌

I’ve just finished installing some custom panelling up a staircase and across the landing, and what a difference it’s made. The added detail really lifts the space and gives it a clean, modern feel while keeping plenty of character. Staircases and landings are often overlooked, but they can completely change the flow and look of a home when done right.

On top of that, I was back with a returning customer to fit 5 new internal doors upstairs. We previously completed their downstairs doors, so it was great to come back and finish off the rest of the house for them. Always appreciated when customers come back – it says everything about the quality and trust built.

As the year comes to an end, all of us at Playford Property Developments would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas. We thank all of our customers for choosing us, our partners and contractors who have pushed jobs over the line for us.

It has been a great year for us and a huge stepping stone to the success we aim for. Not only has it been a great year, we have had bumps along the way but with the help of our team and contributors, we have produced some great work leaving each and every customer delighted.
