✨ SPONSOR SHOUT OUT!✨

We couldn’t continue our sponsor shout-outs without giving a very special thank you to SeaKing Electrical, our very first sponsor of the Fire & Ice Ball! 🔥❄️

Seaking Electrical backed us right from the beginning, and that early support meant so much. Having a local business believe in the event from day one helped us get the ball rolling, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them on board. 💛

Their sponsorship will go directly to Start Well at The Wishing Well, helping us make sure the night has a real and lasting impact for our local community.

A massive thank you to the whole team at Seaking Electrical for getting behind the Fire & Ice Ball.

🌟 We still have sponsorship opportunities available, so please get in touch if your business would like to be part of what promises to be a very special night.

Peak to Paddle 2026… what could possibly go wrong?

We asked our Peak to Paddle team a few questions ahead of the challenge and, if their answers are anything to go by, we’re in for a fun day!

Lars is feeling pretty confident, as a regular Snowdon walker, he knows what he’s letting himself in for and has already volunteered himself for the important job of keeping team morale high!

Blaise meanwhile, has only recently recovered from a foot operation, so we think he’s got a pretty valid excuse for being slightly more cautious!

Across the rest of the team, there are concerns about knees, fitness, the weather, walking uphill, walking downhill and the inevitable aches and pains afterwards.

And then there are the snacks…

Haribo, Reese’s, crisps, Star Bars, sweets, chocolate Hobnobs and even dried sausage are all making an appearance. Abby also seems to have somehow been nominated as the official snack carrier, we’re not sure she agreed to that part.

Joking aside, there’s one thing everyone agrees on.

The team are taking on Peak to Paddle, climbing Snowdon before swapping their walking boots for paddles and taking to the water, to raise money for The Hive Youth Zone, Wirral and support children and families across our region.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone taking part and we’ll be following them all the way. ❤️

Have a swipe through to meet the team and see what they had to say.

And, most importantly, if you can, please get behind them with a donation. Every contribution, big or small, will give them a little extra motivation when those legs start complaining!

A new chapter for SeaKing in Barrow-in-Furness

Today, the SeaKing team is celebrating the official launch of our new Barrow office.
The opening marks an exciting milestone for SeaKing and the continued growth of our Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Business Unit, strengthening our presence in the region and our ability to support customers and projects across defence, industrial, utilities, energy and process sectors.

Our new Barrow base brings our people and capabilities closer to key customers, while providing a strong platform for the continued growth of our EC&I team.

We’re looking forward to welcoming colleagues, customers and guests today to officially open the doors and celebrate what is another significant step forward for SeaKing.

And in our 25th year, it feels particularly fitting to be celebrating both how far we’ve come and where we’re heading next.

Welcome to SeaKing Barrow.

Last week, some of the SeaKing team had the privilege of visiting The Hive to see first-hand the incredible work they do for local young people.

A huge thank you to Zoe and Chiara for taking the time to show us around and share the incredible impact The Hive has within our community.

From a fully equipped kitchen for cooking classes and a climbing wall, to a music studio, salon, vegetable garden and even a workshop where young people build kit cars, it was inspiring to see the opportunities available to help young people learn new skills, build confidence and feel supported.
Our visit reinforced exactly why we're taking on the Peak to Paddle Challenge.

Soon, members of the SeaKing team will be summiting Snowdon before heading back down to canoe 6.5km across Lake Bala, all to raise vital funds for The Hive. It's going to be a tough challenge, but knowing the difference every donation can make gives us all the motivation we need.

Every pound raised will help The Hive continue providing young people with somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to talk to.
If you're able to support the team, we'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a real difference. (link in comments 👇)
A huge thank you once again to everyone at The Hive Youth Zone, Wirral for such a warm welcome.

A great day on site at Holyhead Port, where our team carried out the upgrade and testing of the control system for the fog horn serving the Deep Water Berth (Cruise Terminal Berth) on behalf of our valued client, Stena Line Ports, Holyhead

While often unseen, systems like these play an essential role in maintaining the safe operation of busy port infrastructure, ensuring vessels can continue to navigate safely in challenging conditions.

With the backdrop of Holyhead Breakwater Lighthouse and the Anglesey coastline, it certainly made for a memorable working environment, although we're sure it's a very different story during the winter months!

Thank you to Stena Line Ports for your continued trust in SeaKing. We're proud to support the infrastructure that keeps our ports operating safely and efficiently.

SeaKing Group Achieves Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

Royal Navy veterans and SeaKing Group employees Gary Pink, and Michael Rollings (Rolly) are proud to announce that the company has received the Gold Award in this year's Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

This prestigious award follows extensive behind-the-scenes work to secure the Ministry of Defence's highest accolade. The Gold Award recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional support for the Armed Forces community and actively align their business values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

SeaKing Group has long been committed to supporting defence personnel. The company actively employs veterans whilst providing robust flexibility for Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers. Achieving the Gold Award highlights SeaKing's proactive forces-friendly environment and its dedication to supporting the defence community across the maritime and electrical engineering industries.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award is given only to organisations that actively advocate support for the defence community and inspire other employers to adopt similar policies. SeaKing joins an elite group of UK employers commended for their exemplary forces-friendly practices.

"Achieving the ERS Gold Award is a fantastic milestone for SeaKing Group and one we're incredibly proud to celebrate. This recognition reflects our deep gratitude for the dedication and skills that veterans bring to our workforce. Supporting our Armed Forces isn't just a corporate responsibility; it's part of who we are as a business. We remain committed to providing meaningful career pathways and a supportive workplace for those who serve and have served our country."

Martin Sealeaf, Group Managing Director, SeaKing Group

The company would like to express its sincere thanks to Jan Cox QVRM DL for her invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of Gary Pink and Michael Rollings, whose passion for supporting the Armed Forces community has helped guide SeaKing Group's journey from Bronze, to Silver, and now Gold. Their continued advocacy, leadership and commitment have been instrumental in helping the business achieve the Ministry of Defence's highest level of recognition under the Employer Recognition Scheme.

Preparing the next generation for the world of work.

Recently, SeaKing's Michael Rollings (Rolly) joined representatives from several local businesses at Ridgeway High School to support Year 10 students through a series of mock job interviews.

The session gave students the opportunity to experience a realistic interview environment, receive constructive feedback and gain practical advice on how to prepare for future employment.

One of the key messages shared throughout the day - 'don't be discouraged if you don't succeed first time. Every interview is a learning opportunity, so take on board the feedback, do your research and keep building your confidence.'

Supporting young people as they prepare for their future careers is something SeaKing is passionate about, and it was fantastic to see the students engaging so positively, asking thoughtful questions and embracing the experience.

A big thank you to Ridgeway High School for inviting us to be part of such a worthwhile initiative.

SeaKing the Answers... well, almost!

Last night, a few of the SeaKing team swapped electrical engineering for general knowledge as they took part in the Shippy Quiz, hosted by the Propeller Club Liverpool & North West at City Wine Bar, Liverpool

Whilst we didn't quite come away as quiz champions, we were delighted to win the award for Best Team Name with "SeaKing the Answers!"

It was a brilliant evening, bringing together the local maritime community for some friendly competition, networking and plenty of laughs.

A huge thank you to the Propeller Club team for organising such a fantastic event. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are already looking forward to the next one... although we might do a bit more revision first!

Yesterday, members of the SeaKing team attended a Social Values event hosted by Project 4, alongside The Hive Youth Zone, Wirral , the charity

SeaKing is proudly supporting through this year's Peak to Paddle Challenge.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about the positive impact social value can have on individuals, communities and businesses, while also giving us ideas that will help shape SeaKing's own approach to making a lasting difference.

One of the highlights of the morning was hearing from Chiara, who shared her personal story about how The Hive has supported her. Her heartfelt speech was both inspiring and a powerful reminder of the life-changing difference organisations like The Hive make to young people across our local communities.

A huge thank you to Project 4 and The Hive Youth Zone for hosting such an engaging and thought-provoking event. We're proud to be supporting The Hive and look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts through the Peak to Paddle Challenge.
