Rail environments are large, complex and constantly changing.

With DJI Dock 3 positioned at a suitable location, Team UAV can support repeatable remote UAV operations across stations, depots and wider rail infrastructure, providing aerial visibility without treating every mission as a new mobilisation.

That creates a more consistent way to monitor assets, understand change and support planning across busy operational environments, while giving teams access to current site information when they need it.

Remote operations are not about replacing the people behind rail infrastructure. They are about giving those teams another way to see, understand and manage it.

Repeatable missions. Consistent visibility. Better informed decisions.

Remote operations are not just about putting a drone in the air.

With DJI Dock 3 deployed at a fixed location, repeatable missions can capture a consistent digital record of a site over time, supporting photogrammetry, digital twin development and ongoing asset monitoring.

Beyond the visuals, point cloud data also help us look at the physical geometry of the environment, exposing structure rather than just appearance. This can also support point cloud segmentation, where features such as trees and other physical structures can be identified and classified from their geometry.

For large infrastructure sites, this creates a valuable record for comparing datasets, understanding change and supporting planning, maintenance and operational decisions over time.

The value is not simply the flight. It is the information captured every time it takes place.

Consistent capture. Comparable data. Better understanding.

Our operations don’t stop when the sun goes down.

One of the real strengths of our Dock 3 capability is the ability to maintain aerial visibility around the clock, including during night operations.

Equipped with the DJI AL1 Spotlight, our Dock 3 aircraft can illuminate areas during low light and night operations, giving our team the ability to maintain visibility over sites, assets and infrastructure when natural light is no longer available.

For security, incident response, asset monitoring or operational oversight outside normal working hours, that capability can make a significant difference.

With the aircraft already positioned on site, there is no need to mobilise a pilot and equipment every time visibility is required. Missions can be initiated remotely, giving our team faster access to the information needed to understand what is happening on site.

Day or night, our Dock operations are built around the same objective, providing reliable aerial visibility when it is needed.

If you are exploring remote drone operations and want to understand how a Dock solution could support your sites around the clock, get in touch with the Team UAV team.

17 seconds.

That is all it took from starting the mission to take-off.

17 seconds between initiating a flight and having an aircraft in the air, ready to provide live aerial visibility over the site.

That speed matters.

Whether responding to a perimeter breach, suspicious activity, storm damage or an operational incident, the quicker you can gain visibility, the quicker your team can understand what is happening and make an informed decision.

With a traditional deployment, someone needs to travel to site, unload equipment, prepare the aircraft and launch. With a Dock solution already positioned on site, that mobilisation can be removed from the process.

The result is faster response, greater operational visibility and a much shorter gap between identifying an issue and understanding what is happening on the ground.

17 seconds demonstrates what that can look like in practice.

We’re continuing to demonstrate our remote drone solutions across different operational environments.

Consistent visibility. Season after season.

Infrastructure does not stop changing when the weather does.

DJI Dock 3 gives organisations a fixed platform for repeatable UAV operations throughout the year, helping teams build a more consistent view of asset condition, site activity and change over time.

Built for demanding outdoor deployment, Dock 3 has an IP56 rating and an operating temperature range of -30°C to 50°C, supporting remote operations across a wide range of environmental conditions.

Combined with repeatable flight missions, this allows Team UAV to support ongoing monitoring, condition assessment and operational oversight without treating every inspection as a new mobilisation.

Consistent capture. Comparable data. Better informed decisions.

Team UAV is expanding its trusted pilot network.

We’re looking to connect with experienced freelance UAV pilots who can support our operations when project demand requires additional capability.

Every Team UAV project is delivered to a high standard, so we’re looking for pilots who understand the importance of safe operations, professional conduct, clear communication and reliable delivery in the field.

This is about building a trusted pool of capable pilots who can support our team across commercial UAV work throughout the UK.

If you are an experienced UK based freelance UAV pilot and would like to be considered for future opportunities with Team UAV, please get in touch and include your CV, the drones you have piloted, the payloads you have used, your total piloting hours and confirmation that you are able to provide your flight logs from the last 6 months if requested.

Please send your information to [email protected]

We look forward to hearing from you.

Asset defects do not become less important just because they are difficult to reach.

For culverts, tunnels and other confined infrastructure, understanding cracking, deterioration and structural condition can be challenging without putting people into restricted environments.

Team UAV uses specialist confined space drone technology to get close to the asset, capture detailed visual information and LiDAR data, and give inspection teams a clearer picture of what is happening.

That means defects can be identified, condition can be assessed and maintenance decisions can be supported with better information.

If you have a difficult-to-access asset that needs inspecting, get in touch with Team UAV.

Where access is restricted, we deliver clarity.

Our confined space surveys give clients a safer way to understand environments that are difficult to access, challenging to inspect and often unsuitable for unnecessary manned entry.

Using specialist confined space drone technology, Team UAV can capture high quality visual data and LiDAR from inside culverts, tunnels, chambers, voids and other restricted environments.

The result is clear, usable insight that helps teams assess condition, understand risk and make informed decisions without sending people into avoidable hazardous situations.

The next wave of UK SORA applications is coming and organisations should start preparing now.

The significant changes to the Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material supporting UK SORA come into force on 1 October 2026 and introduce clearer, more structured routes for demonstrating compliance, including:

• Declaration of compliance
• An agreed compliance-basis approach
• Submission of full compliance evidence

Applicants will still need a properly defined Concept of Operations, defensible ground and air risk assessments, credible containment, suitable operating procedures and clear, traceable evidence against every applicable requirement.

At Team UAV, we expect this to unlock projects that have been waiting for a clearer regulatory route and, as a result, drive a rapid increase in UK SORA applications.

That creates another challenge: regulatory capacity and application readiness.
If your organisation is planning BVLOS operations, automated drone-in-a-box deployment, remote operations, complex infrastructure inspections or operations using larger UAS, the time to prepare is NOW not when the changes take effect and the application queue begins to grow.

At Team UAV, we are already working at the sharp end of UK SORA: developing applications, responding to CAA findings and turning complex operational concepts into evidence-led submissions.

If an advanced UAS operation is on your roadmap, speak to us now. We can get the foundations built, the evidence gaps identified and the application prepared so you are ready to push go when the opportunity arrives, trust us when we say don’t wait!
