⚽ What an incredible result!⚽

Together with the University of Bristol Staff Team, Shield Services Group helped raise an amazing £10,867.43 (including Gift Aid) for Southmead Hospital Charity's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Reflecting on the achievement, Shield's Daniel Paterson EngTech MIGEM said: "To see this event raise over £10,000 for such an important cause is simply amazing. Everyone involved should be incredibly proud of what we've achieved together."

The success of the day was echoed by Jon Jerrome from the University of Bristol Staff Team, who added: "A fantastic team effort and we're delighted the funds raised will help support such a worthwhile cause."

A huge thank you to everyone who organised, played, donated, sponsored and supported the event. Every contribution helped make a real difference for babies and families who rely on the incredible care provided by NICU. 💙

On Sunday 24th May, Shield FC was formed and took on the University of Bristol Staff Team in what proved to be a fantastic occasion for everyone involved.⚽💙

Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day on the pitch, with UoB running out 2–0 winners. Despite the result, we are incredibly proud of the Shield team that was pulled together and matched an experienced UoB side throughout the game.

In truth, the real winner on the day was Southmead Hospital Charity NICU, with all funds raised going directly to this amazing charity. Whilst the final total is still being confirmed, we are confident we have exceeded our fundraising target of £6,500 and collectively this has amounted to over £9,000 being raised for the cause!

The day would not have been possible without the incredible support from our suppliers and subcontractors who kindly sponsored the event, donated prizes, and helped make the day such a success.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, and supported the event, your generosity and support are hugely appreciated.
