At Manse Designs we understand that every client and every project is different and that is how we approach every job. The client for this single storey rear extension in Margate had already got confirmation from the local planning authority that prior approval was not required but needed help with the next stage. After contacting us, we produced the full set of working drawings and submitted the details to the local authority building control for a full plans check approval.

This single storey rear extension to a bungalow in Eastry allowed a dining room to be added to the existing kitchen space. Manse Designs worked with the client through both the planning and building control phases of their project and it was wonderful to be able to visit the property again and see the new well lit space.

Had the pleasure of visiting with a previous client whose single storey side extension has turned their kitchen into a cosy family space. Manse Designs helped them with planning permission approval from the local planning authority and full plans check approval from Building Control.

The past week has seen us putting together a number of building regulation details for our clients including construction sections, roof layouts and sub-structure layouts.

You can potential do a lot of development to your home without needing planning permission. What you can do is laid out in the The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended).

We would always recommend that you submit an application for a Lawful Development Certificate. This way you have it in writing from the local planning authority that you did not require planning permission from them.
