While Kane and Rashford are practising penalties and perfecting their free kicks, I’ll be capturing stunning sunsets with my (lens) ball because, let’s be honest, I hung my football boots up years ago! 😅🌅

Without zooming in… what do you think is inside the lensball? 👀🔮”

🌅🔮 THROWBACK TO BALI, INDONESIA 🇮🇩

While everyone else was busy enjoying the sunset, I was that strange guy on the beach staring into a glass ball… 🤣

My trusty lensball and I were on a mission to capture Bali’s sunset from a slightly different perspective. After dropping it in the sand approximately 47 times, nearly chasing it into the ocean twice, and getting a few confused looks from tourists, I finally got the shot! 📸✨

Sometimes the best views come when you turn the world upside down. 🔮🌅

With the World Cup just around the corner, I thought I’d dig out a proper classic from the archives…

This beauty was taken back in 2021 at Tandle Hills during sunrise, featuring an incredible three-ball lensball stack. Even now, it still makes me stop scrolling when it pops up.

Anyone who knows me knows I have a serious condition: I physically cannot drive past good light without pulling over. Days out, early mornings, shopping trips… if the sky starts doing something interesting, the mobile camera is coming out. No exceptions.

After building a catalogue of more than 50,000 images over the years for M9 this one is still right up there amongst my favourites. Everything just came together perfectly.

I’ll be at Richard Bentley Smalley Hall, Slattocks, Rochdale on 27th June selling all kind of abstract, lensball floral landscape prints. Pop down and take a look and support my unique independent business.

When people talk about finding hidden gems, I didn’t expect one to be practically on my doorstep.

My first visit to Healey Dell back in 2021 felt like stepping into a tropical paradise rather than Rochdale - waterfalls flowing, woodland stretching for miles, and the sound of nature replacing the usual hustle and bustle. It was like Bali 2 years before hand …🌿💦

There’s even a lovely café and tea rooms to round off the walk, making it a perfect day out.

I deliberately blurred the water in this shot to capture its movement and the calmness of the moment. Standing there, listening to the waterfall, the world seemed to slow down for a while. Although looking at the photo, it may also appear I forgot how to focus… I’ll let you decide that 😆

Some places don’t just tell history… they wear it proudly 🏛️✨

Rochdale Town Hall is one of Britain’s finest Victorian Gothic landmarks, standing proudly since 1871. From its stunning stained glass to its grand stonework and historic interiors, every corner tells a story of Rochdale’s rich heritage.

From M9’s perspective, this album captures the beauty, character and timeless spirit of this iconic building ❤️📸

Back in 2020 when Covid had us all practically welded to the house 🏡😅
I somehow became a professional garden wanderer with my mobile camera 📱🌿

While everyone else was baking banana bread… I was out in the garden, lost in my own little world pretending I was a top abstract photographer 😂

Then I spotted the windmill spinning away in the breeze and thought…
“YES. This is art. This is deep. This belongs in an M9 gallery.” 🎨🤣

So naturally I took about 47 photos of this windmill from every possible angle and after a few hours deliberating the best photo made a decision on the most interesting abstract version 📸💨

Funny how lockdown made us slow down and appreciate the little things… green space, fresh air, and random windmills/garden decorations 😆

A little throwback to one of my favourite creative shoots 📸🍭

It’s easy to think you need to travel somewhere amazing to capture a great photograph… but honestly, some of the most fun and creative images can come from the simplest things right in front of you.

This shot was created using a very ordinary sweet you’d probably walk past in the shop without thinking twice 😅🍬

But that’s what I love about photography — it completely changes the way you see everyday objects. A different angle, lighting, and perspective can turn something so small into a piece of art 🤩

A reminder that photography is so much more than just what meets the eye ✨
