Tomos Durnell Electrical is growing and we’re looking for a 3rd or 4th year apprentice electrician to join our team.

You’ll be working on commercial and industrial projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced electricians, with a clear pathway to becoming fully qualified.

The role involves travel and working away when required.

Tomos Durnell Electrical are looking for an experienced electrician (ECS Gold Card) to join our team.
We carry out electrical work across commercial, industrial and domestic sites around the UK and are looking for someone who can run jobs independently and help support apprentices.
Salary: £27.5k–£33k depending on experience.

FAST‑TRACK SHOP FIT‑OUT — FULL ELECTRICAL PACKAGE DELIVERED ON TIME⚡️

When the property owner needed their new retail unit open quickly, Tomos Durnell Electrical delivered a complete electrical installation under a demanding schedule.
Our scope included:
• Electrical distribution and steel containment systems for durability, accessibility, and a clean industrial finish
• Fire alarm and emergency lighting to BS 5839 and BS 5266 standards
• Small power and lighting throughout the store
• Full testing, inspection, and certification to BS 7671
The use of exposed steel containment provided both a visual feature and long‑term adaptability for future upgrades or layout changes.
We’ve also been collaborating with fire and security firms on large‑scale commercial projects, supporting complex system installations with reliable electrical infrastructure and national coverage.

Project Highlight- Kent📍

Tomos Durnell Electrical are proud to showcase a project we have just wrapped up over in Kent.

This project required precise planning and preparation due to the warehouse remaining operational throughout. As always the team delivered and got the job done quickly and safely.😎

On this project we delivered;

Full emergency lighting installation
High bay lighting switched via PIR’s for energy efficiency
Small power & lighting to office areas
Power & lighting to workshop areas.
Full data installation including wireless access points.
Full Electrical Installation Condition Report.

Immensely proud of the team for getting this one over the line and looking forward to getting back down there for Phase 2.

The Stoke Restaurant Project⚡️

Our Scope on this project was to;
Fully Rewire all Electrical Circuits
Install New Emergency Lighting Throughout.
Install Containment for LV and Mechanical
Install CCTV
Install DDA Alarm System
Install Power & Control to Extract System

And boy did we deliver!
Along the way, additional works were completed also, such as power for a three phase pizza oven, bespoke strip lighting arrangements and much more!
