Busy day, processing a tree for myself. Client did not want the felled tree to go to waste as firewood. Won’t lie, I was bubbling as the oak is beautiful and woodworm free, until I hit 3 nails, which judging from the depth where put in the tree about 80 years ago….. however lots of wood salvaged from main stem. Oak reacts and turns black when in contact with metal. Really nice coffee tables made from a knuckle. Will take some drying out but will be beautiful!

Nice day milling this beautiful massive horse chestnut. The Panther 42” Mill was pushed to max capacity, but still cut well. Had to prep log with MS881 and it was awesome, making light work of it.

Large windblown Scots Pine processed and a bit of milling. Tree was hard work, as milling in 6-12” of water and rings pretty heavy as so wet! But a hard day with the saw, better than an easy day in the office!
