✨ Another stunning installation completed today – this time in beautiful Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

Our latest installation features a 6 Drawer & 3 Door bespoke furniture suite from our Heritage Range, finished in the timeless elegance of Lancaster Oak.

What immediately catches the eye is the craftsmanship. Every wood grain has been carefully matched, allowing the natural pattern to flow seamlessly across the drawer fronts and doors, creating one continuous, beautifully engineered piece of furniture. We also finished the cabinet leading edges in matching Lancaster Oak, giving the installation the look and feel of traditionally crafted furniture rather than standard cabinetry.

Of course, beauty is only half the story.

Behind those elegant drawer fronts are our renowned extra-deep drawer boxes, designed to maximise every last millimetre of available storage space. Sometimes, the biggest difference between winning and losing a customer isn’t price… it’s effort.

Last week we received a call from a lovely lady in Orrell who wanted advice on the best bespoke under-stairs storage solution for her home.

She apologised immediately, explaining that she wasn’t very confident with technology and was struggling to take and send photographs of the space.

Her experience surprised me.

She told me that a staircase renovation company based only a few miles away, who also offers under-stairs storage, insisted that she send photographs before they would even consider providing a quotation. No photographs… no visit… no quote.

My response was simple…

“Don’t worry. I’ll call in on my way home.”

Within minutes we had measured the space, discussed the possibilities, answered all of her questions and designed the perfect solution for her home.

She placed her order.

Not because we were the cheapest.

Not because we had the fanciest website.

Because we took the time to help.

In an age where so much business is done from behind a screen, it’s easy to forget that people still value old-fashioned customer service.

Sometimes you have to put the phone down, get off your backside, visit the customers home and actually provide a service.

Technology is a fantastic tool, but it should never become a barrier between a business and the people it serves.

Today is one of the proudest moments in our company’s journey.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Understairs by Giobella has officially been accepted into The Guild of Master Craftsmen, one of the oldest and most respected Guilds in the United Kingdom.

To receive a letter welcoming us and confirming that we can now be recognised as Master Craftsmen is an incredible honour and one that means a great deal to our family business.

From the very beginning, our vision has never been simply to build understairs storage. Our ambition has always been to design and manufacture exceptional bespoke furniture that transforms homes through outstanding craftsmanship, innovative thinking and meticulous attention to detail.

Every installation represents countless hours of design, manufacturing and precision fitting, and this recognition reflects the standards we strive to achieve on every single project.

We would like to thank our fantastic customers for placing their trust in us and for the wonderful reviews and recommendations that have helped us grow into the company we are today.

When Only Bespoke Will Do!

True bespoke design isn’t simply about fitting furniture beneath a staircase—it’s about creating a solution that reflects both the home and the homeowner.

For this latest installation, our client selected Antique Rose (Egger U325) from our contemporary Urban Range, perfectly complementing the existing colour palette throughout the property.

Behind the minimalist design lies intelligent engineering.

Using our unique system, we designed a bespoke six-drawer configuration incorporating extra-deep 85cm drawer boxes that fully utilise the available depth beneath the staircase. The result is substantially greater storage capacity without compromising aesthetics.

Manufactured from premium 18mm Egger furniture board, finished with colour-matched 2mm ABS edging, the installation delivers exceptional durability alongside a refined architectural appearance.

The outcome is exactly what bespoke should be: furniture that looks as though it was always meant to be there.

Last night at The ‘Winter Gardens’ in Blackpool we were proud finalists in the Design category at this year’s Red Rose Awards.

A evening for us all to enjoy a special night out with superb entertainment and to appreciate where our hard work has got us.

While it wasn’t our year to take the title, being shortlisted alongside some outstanding Lancashire businesses—and receiving such positive feedback on our Cabriflex™ furniture during judging—reminds us how far we’ve come in 6 years and why we do what we do.

A big congratulations to all the category winners and a sincere thank you to the judges and organisers for a fantastic event. We’ll take the momentum, the learning, and the pride… and keep pushing forward.

A great morning attending the judging round for this year’s Red Rose Awards, held at the iconic Turf Moor Football Stadium ⚽️

Proud to say we’re finalists in the Design category, and I’m delighted to share that the presentation went really well. I received some very positive feedback from the judges, particularly around our Cabriflex™ furniture concept—always encouraging when innovation and design-led thinking land well in the room.

Now… we wait.
The results will be announced on Thursday 12th March 🤞
