Bit more progress on this one, took me a while to get my head around the hidden door as it was my first attempt at one, what i've learnt for next time is, is to not take one on 🤣😅 jokes aside i did enjoy having a go, got the floating unit up and a few small shelves either side and some washed travertine pannel boards on to finsh the face of the full media unit still quite a few finishing touches to go but Im getting there! Ps don't be fooled by my mate milo photo bombing he may look cute but he's 70% little toe wrag! 🤣🤣

Kitchen ive been on with recently, old door blocked up with a new stud frame a smaller frame built up so the new units can be fit easier its helped to hide some pipes and keeps some of the original curved features, now all boarded up and almost ready to get cracking on with some skimming for the rest of the week!

Little bit of progress on this one this week, i tried laying this herringbone vinyl click flooring a few weeks ago but once i got going it was soon clear i needed to self level the floor, so after getting that poured down and leaving it to cure, I feel like im on a roll now and back to square one agian!😅💪

Job i Started other week, i was only supposed do a little strip out of the old boiler cupboard, skirting arks and coving but as i got going that was wasn't the case the plaster was falling off on the partitioning wall so that had to go on both sides but once the plaster was off it became clear the whole wall had to come down it had too much of a wobble and just wasn't safe to dot and dab, so i put up a stud wall, re arranged a few sockets and strengthed up the studs with some ply ready for tv's on both sides, two new door frames, re boarded cielings and gave everywhere a skim just got to go back and fit the skirts, arks and a few others bits.

Another little job ive been on with recently sorting out what was left from someone else,
Ive strip back the window wall and re dot and dabbed it level, gave the room a full reskim and mist coat and left lot more tidy finish

31/07/2026

Back on this one this week, gave the walls a mist coat put all the sockets where they need to be behind where tv will eventually sit flush upto some nice stone effect wall pannel, fit some ply to the studs where they'll be slatted panneling to create a secret door for the understairs cupboard along with a long floating cabinet and shelves either side of the tv fireplace, MJ Electrical has been and got us some power to the LED strip lights, I've even managed to make a start skimming the hallway before we get some flooring down!

21/07/2026

Made a start on another little project other week, Stripped all the old door frames and skirting boards taken down the old housing for the spot lights and put back up a more tidy recessed Led channel running into the TV fireplace, then gave the room a full reskim, this ones going to be a little different to what I've done before!
