Testing and commissioning underway on site.

This 2500A panel board is supplying submains to various areas across the project. As part of the process, we are carrying out dead testing, including insulation resistance testing and R1+R2 readings, along with torque testing to the manufacturer’s instructions.

All results are being documented through the project Q&A process, ensuring the installation is verified, recorded and completed correctly prior to energisation.

I am also acting as Authorised Person (AP) on this project, supporting the safe management and control of the electrical works.

Another important stage in delivering a safe, compliant and well-documented installation.

Another major project complete. ⚡🇬🇧

Over the last 6 months, we’ve delivered the full electrical installation for a 48-bedroom accommodation building on a UK MOD site (location confidential).

The project included:

⚡ Generator changeover system for power resilience
⚡ Intelligent daylight dimming throughout
⚡ Rainwater harvesting system for boot washing facilities
⚡ 2 kitchens, 2 communal areas and 2 drying rooms

The biggest challenge was the main electrical plant room, where limited space and large cable installations tested the team from start to finish. It was a massive learning curve, but one we’re incredibly proud of.

The best part? The client was so pleased they’ve asked us to stay on and deliver the battery storage installation and a new 1600A panel board.

Now it’s on to our next major project at Gatwick Airport, alongside several other large commercial projects.
