Big news - The Gentleman Home Services has been nominated for the Small Business Awards 2026!

Honestly, this one means a lot. We started as a one-man-band with a toolbox and a bit of ambition, and to be recognised like this just a few months after launching The Gentleman Home Services properly is something we’re really proud of.

But this nomination isn’t really ours - it’s yours. Every job we’ve been trusted with, every recommendation to a neighbour or friend, every bit of patience while we’ve grown and got things right (still working on that) - that’s what’s got us here. So thank you, genuinely, to every customer across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and who’s backed us along the way.

Home services done properly - that’s the promise, and we’re not stopping here.

She couldn’t picture his face.

Cheap tradesman, five stars online, key left under the pot. “Just let yourself out.”

She sat at work all morning refreshing her phone — not scared, just realising she didn’t know his second name. Didn’t know who was in her house.

Then her daughter rang: “Mummy, there’s a man in the kitchen.”

Half a second of pure dread. Then — oh. Right. Him.

New season, new kit, same purpose. 🖤💛

Proud to be backing Magnolia Park FC as they head into preseason with a fresh look for 25/26 - and even prouder of what this club stands for.

Football has always been more than a game. For a lot of men, it’s the one place they show up consistently, talk without needing a reason, and feel like they belong to something. That matters more than people realise. Too many men wait until they’re struggling before they open up - if they open up at all. A club like Magnolia Park chips away at that, week in, week out, just by giving men a reason to turn up and a team that notices if they don’t.

Episode 3: Behind the scenes 🎬

Spent today filming with Phil, our videographer — cameras, lighting, take after take.

Didn’t expect it, but it took me straight back to my acting days. That same buzz of getting the take right, the energy on set, the collaboration. I’d almost forgotten how much I love it.

Growing something like GHS isn’t a one-man job. It’s Phil behind the camera, it’s the team on the tools, it’s everyone pulling in the same direction. That’s the bit people don’t see — how much a strong team around you actually matters.
