Have you heard about the BUS Scheme? This is also known as the Government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme and is helping many homeowners to make the switch to renewable energy.

A £9,000 BUS payment helped this particular owner switch from their existing oil central heating to a 10 kW Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump and a pre-plumbed cylinder.

We want to say a huge thank you to all of our followers over on Instagram. It has been a pleasure growing our online community and connecting with other like-minded businesses to explore new collaborations and build new relationships.

Eco Installer has grown significantly over the years, taking on projects of all sizes for both new-build developments and existing properties requiring an upgrade. Each one has been a privilege.

It seems like we’ve been talking nonstop about solar panels recently, and with good reason: summer means sun, and sun means making great use of solar energy!

Although the winter months may offer less daylight or sunshine, solar PV can still generate useful electricity throughout the year. A solar battery can help you make better use of the electricity your panels generate by storing surplus energy for use later, such as in the evening when your panels are no longer producing electricity. Any surplus electricity that you don’t use or store can also be exported to the grid, potentially providing a financial return through an export tariff.

Remember that solar panels work on light, not heat, so even on colder days, they still generate electricity, which is why they are a fantastic investment.

Another day, another case study! Because they are the best way to show our followers the options available for renewable energy and home upgrades.

Joy and Percy contacted Eco Installer during the design stage of their self-build project, allowing us to become involved early to help ensure the heating system was correctly designed from the outset. The couple then visited our office to meet with Becki and Shane, where we discussed their ideas in more detail and explored the best options for their project. Being involved at this early stage allowed us to work alongside Joy and Percy to create a renewable heating system that suited both their needs and the design of their new home.
