Prolonged dry weather can seriously stress trees, particularly younger specimens. Watch for leaf scorch, wilting, premature autumn colour, or excessive leaf drop. Deep watering (slow and prolonged rather than frequent light watering) helps roots access moisture. Mulching around the base retains soil moisture and moderates temperature. Thinking about tree work? Check if your tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) first. TPOs protect important trees, and working on them without permission is illegal. You can check with your Local Authority's planning department or search online TPO maps. If your tree is protected, we can prepare and submit the application, providing arboricultural justification for the proposed works. Once approved, we'll carry out the work exactly as specified.
