Every steel installation starts with fabrication done properly in the workshop.

Column sections, channel steel and bespoke fabricated connection boxes, cut, welded, drilled, primed and checked against the drawing before they leave us. When steel arrives on site in this condition, the installation runs cleanly and to programme.

The preparation is what makes the difference.

Smaller steel packages are often where bespoke fabrication matters most.

A safety barrier fabricated to fit an exact space. A pair of gates built to suit an existing opening. Heavy-duty hinges fabricated to carry timber gates. A handrail installed precisely to the drawing.

None of these are large jobs. All of them require the same accuracy, the same quality of fabrication, and the same care on site that a structural package demands. Our process doesn't change based on the size of the scope.

Residential extension and renovation, structural steel package.

Site survey completed before drawings were produced. Structural drawings issued for approval. Fabrication carried out in our UKCA approved workshop, every element cut, welded, marked, primer painted, checked and documented before leaving the factory.

On site, bespoke wheeled transport was used to move steel members across the site to the work area. Two Genie lifts positioned every element to our assembly drawings. Holding down bolts drilled and set into concrete, frame erected and handed over using a three man team and one day on site.

Bespoke shutter door frame - fabrication and installation.

The frame was fabricated from mild steel rectangular hollow section, finished in two-component zinc rich primer, and made to suit the exact dimensions of the opening. Installation was carried out using a Genie SLA15 to lift and position the frame precisely before securing it to the newly built wall with coach screws.

The output of a steel contractor is only as consistent as the team producing it.

That means workshop fabricators and site erectors who communicate openly, understand each other's requirements, and hold each other to a shared standard of quality. When both halves of a steel package are handled by a team that works together rather than handing off responsibility, the result is better, and the problems that typically show up at the handover point between fabricator and erector simply don't arise.
