This is one of the worst we've ever seen 😲

This window sealant was absolutely knackered and the windows covered in paint.

The customer doesn't use these rooms because of how cold and noisy. We've not sorted that problem and they can now use of a full 2 rooms again 😎

Bringing the warmth back into this home for years to come 😁

One thing thats hated in Glasgow trades more than anything is driving to Edinburgh. Ask any trade it's a widespread 😅

Sealant is your barrier from wind, noise, frost and dampness. Sealant is part of the decoration but first and foremost it offers protection.

So what should be sealed?🤔

Windows & cills
Doors and thresholds
Soffit boards
Cladding👏

The materials should be a LMN sealant for exterior use, not a silicone that's used for bathrooms. We only use an exterior sealant rated for up to 25 years. 👏

You would be shocked to know this😲

The mastic around this window has failed but the reason isn't what you think.

It's detached from the frame and pieces missing. Not due to settlement or poor application... It's the crows and magpies.🐦‍⬛

They rip small pieces off and take them back to their nest to use as insulation 😂

Family day out 🙌

Last weekend we popped down to the Advance Construction weekender at the Riverside museum 👷

What a fantastic event put on by the team at Advance. Interactive learning, digger races, hi vis for the kids plus so much more 👏

Getting into the trades can be daunting especially when you mix in certificates and specialist training❗

It's estimated there will be a shortage of 300,000 construction workers over the next 10 years with number expected to grow. 40% of apprentices drop out in the first year. Events like this are great at filling those gaps longer term 👌
