This was a call out to intermittent hot water whilst showering, another engineer had already been out and replaced the most likely part which would cause the issue, plate heat exchanger, however, the problem persisted, so I then got the call, I then diagnosed a very weak pump (14 years old), in the end the customer decided a new boiler. Heating and hot water back, boiler didn’t break the bank, new filter, shock arrestor and filling loop all installed in a convenient place for regular maintenance.
