📣 WE’RE HIRING! 📣

DRS Electrical is looking for a Qualified Electrician to join our Small Works & Project Division! ⚡

This is a full time role covering domestic and light commercial work, and it would suit someone who:

✅ Enjoys variety, from small works and maintenance to larger new builds and renovations
✅ Is happy working independently and takes ownership of jobs from start to finish
✅ Values customer service as much as technical competence
✅ Is a real team player (we’re a small team, so this is essential!)

Day to day you’ll be involved in EV charge point installs, fault finding and diagnostics, EICRs, testing and certification, and commissioning equipment. You’ll also help capture some social media content along the way. 📸

Stephanie first had us upgrade her kitchen worktop lighting, and when she needed help again, she called us back to fit new smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

No job is too small if it matters to you. And if it’s your safety or peace of mind at stake, it’s not small at all.

Got a job that’s been on your list for months? Get in touch with us today.

Great lighting does more than illuminate a room, it draws the eye exactly where you want it. From LED-lit shelving that turns a w**e store into a showpiece, to backlit bookcases that give off a homely library glow, to sculptural pendant fixtures that give the wow factor in a double-height entryway.

In each space every lighting detail was designed to highlight features that make a space unique.

Whether you want to showcase books, trophies, architecture, or your kids artwork, the right lighting makes it extra special.

At DRS, we specialise in bringing out the best in every interior, from country estates to commercial fit-outs and residential homes.

Ready to see what the right lighting could do for your space?

First impressions matter. From statement chandeliers, to architectural highlights and practical and functional lighting, the entryway sets the tone for everything beyond it.

At DRS, we install lighting across country estates, commercial buildings, and residential properties and no two projects are ever the same. One of our strengths lies in adapting to any style, scale, or architectural quirk, while making sure every fitting is placed with purpose.

Get in touch to discuss your upgrade, renovation or new installation requirements.

The 'ber' months are well and truly here, which means darker evenings are on their way! Now is the perfect time to check any outdoor lighting at your home or business to keep doorways and pathways lit all year round.

The only 'good' thing about an electrical emergency is having someone experienced arrive quickly to help. You can't choose when these things happen, but you can choose who you call.

As a landlord, Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is how you prove your appliances are safe. It's quick, affordable, and worth doing between every tenancy.

Lighting does more work than we give it credit for. It's not just about brightness, it's about planning where the switches and circuits go, so you can shift the mood from bright and functional to soft and cosy, whenever you need to.

A well-lit room just feels right. And that starts with the plan behind the walls, not just the lamps on top.

When "you can't even tell you were here!" is the greatest compliment 🙌

Another seamless install, zero mess, and not a cable in sight.

That's what happens when the whole team, from enquiry to install really cares about the job.

Landlords: did you know Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) isn't a legal requirement in England *BUT* your appliances still have to be proven safe?

Between the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations, the Landlord and Tenant Act, and HHSRS, there's a duty of care around anything you supply — things like kettles, heaters, TVs, and microwaves.

No PAT record = a much harder position with your insurer if something goes wrong.

In our latest blog we share more important PAT info, and what it means for Airbnb and short rental hosts too https://drselectrical.com/pat-testing-for-landlords-what-it-is-why-you-need-it/
