I honestly don’t know where to start! Things have gone absolutely mental lately at JL Electrical Services Ltd, and I genuinely can’t thank everyone enough for keeping me so busy! 🙌

📅 I am now FULLY BOOKED for the rest of the year and taking bookings for JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2027! January is already starting to fill up fast!

There just aren’t enough hours in the day at the moment to get everyone in, and as much as I’d love to fit every single job in, there’s only so much one person can do! 😂⚡

⚡ THE IMPORTANCE OF AN EICR ⚡

Following an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at a property, we identified a couple of issues with these outside lights. 🔍💡

❌ The existing lights did not meet the required IP rating for their location.
❌ The cable linking the lights was twin & earth, which had been exposed to the elements and was deteriorating due to UV damage. ☀️⚠️

This is exactly why regular EICRs are so important — they can highlight deterioration, damage and non-compliant electrical work before it develops into a more serious problem. ⚡🛡️

🔧 The solution:

✅ Removed the damaged cable
✅ Re-routed using the correct UV-rated cable, neatly tucked away under the soffit
✅ Installed suitable IP-rated junction boxes
✅ Installed 2 new PIR security lights 💡
✅ Left the installation neat, safe and fit for purpose 👌

A local company was creating a new break room area for its staff and needed suitable heating and lighting installed. 👷‍♂️☕️

🔥 I installed a wall-mounted 2kW electric heater, providing more than enough heat to keep the new break room warm and comfortable throughout the colder months.

💡 I also installed an 8W LED PIR emergency light, providing automatic lighting when required while ensuring the area has appropriate emergency lighting for safety and compliance.

I’d previously completed work at the same site installing outdoor security lighting around the skip yard 💡🔦, helping improve visibility and safety during the darker winter mornings and evenings.

For this customer, I installed two additional sockets in the front room, providing some much-needed extra power points. 🔌

I also installed a new outside security light with PIR motion sensor 💡🏠. The supply was taken from the socket circuit and fused down via a switched fused spur with a 3A fuse, providing a safe and professional installation. ✅
