💛 THE D&T WAY | COMMUNITY MATTERS

Not every call-out ends with an electrical repair, and sometimes finding the cause is just as important as fixing the problem.

We recently visited a customer who was experiencing repeated tripping at their consumer unit.

After carrying out checks, we established that the consumer unit was doing exactly what it was designed to do. The issue was actually being caused by a faulty appliance, rather than the electrical installation.

Having identified the source of the problem, we were able to explain what was happening and put the customer's mind at ease.

There was no electrical work required, so naturally, there was no charge for the visit.

We regularly come across situations where a little investigation, honest advice and reassurance can make all the difference.

The lovely Google review they left afterwards really did mean a lot. 💛

Sometimes it's not about the work you carry out, but the help you give along the way.

⚡ THE D&T WAY | WHEN THE WARNING SIGNS CAN'T BE IGNORED

Lights cutting out. A hot consumer unit. An unusual smell.

These aren't things to ignore. 🚨

A customer contacted D&T Electrical Services after experiencing all three, and we're glad they got in touch.

On inspection, we discovered a burnt out MCB inside the consumer unit. We replaced the faulty breaker, altered the wiring and installed a 16 amp MCB selected for the circuit following our checks.

It's a reminder that electrical problems aren't always visible, but the warning signs can be there.

💛 If something doesn't seem right, don't ignore it. Get it checked.
