1 of 2 plant rooms completed for a pair of properties in Kings Langley, carried out for Scammell Construction.

On this project we installed a 7kW Vaillant heat pump, serving underfloor heating throughout the property to deliver efficient, low-temperature heating.

The system is set up on an open system and paired with a 390 litre unvented cylinder to comfortably meet the customer’s hot water demands.

Based on the design and setup, the system is achieving an estimated SCOP of around 4.0, which is a really strong result and shows how efficient these systems can be when designed and installed correctly.

We’re particularly pleased with how the pipe insulation has turned out on this one — it really finishes the plant room off and gives it a clean, professional look.

Looking forward to getting the second one completed.

The boiler was struggling to produce consistent hot water due to the plate heat exchanger becoming restricted over time - a common issue caused by sludge and system debris build-up.

Another job completed for a new customer in Chipperfield 🔧

We’ve installed a brand new Vaillant heat only boiler, replacing an older system that was starting to struggle. As part of the upgrade, we also carried out a full power flush to clear out years of sludge and debris from the system.

This is something we always recommend when fitting a new boiler, as it helps protect the new boiler, maintains the warranty, improves efficiency, and keeps everything running as it should.

The system is now running a lot more efficient and ready for the colder months.
